Hi Mark - and thx for the compliments - most appreciated.First, congratulations on a spectacular job detailing your CT. It looks amazing. You’ve also been extremely generous with your time and done a spectacular service to the community sharing all of your insights and photos.
As I obsess about all the details for my upcoming freeze date for my Volcano Grey Taycan, I had been trying to decide whether to order the model designation in the rear in the original satin black or high gloss black. I noticed that you ordered yours in the exterior color. It seems to stand out a bit more without being loud. Would you possible have the time to share some specific close up photos of this element and let me know your thoughts on why you chose this over the other options. Thanks!
Hi Mark - and thx for the compliments - most appreciated.
I guess I am more of an 'under-stated' customizer, and whilst love to have some unique changes to the OEM setup, I that still tend towards preserving an OEM look but still keeping changes somewhat 'under the radar' if that makes sense.
In respect the body colored model tag, again for me that element just seems to blend really nicely when matching the body color and seems too prominent when not. I did the very same thing with my prior M4 convertible but in that case had not ordered as such from the factory but had IND paint a replacement and once I installed it it just felt perfect! Bottom-line, I guess I like it when you have to do a double take to see what's different from an OEM look.
Not by the car right now but can certainly add a few pics of the model designation to this post later today.
Cheers, C.
EDIT - apologies forgot to add - in respect satin vs gloss I personally would again probably keep the logo the same as surrounding body color/finish so as to stand out less - entirely a personal bias but suspect a satin finish would stand out more against a gloss background.
OK - a few quick pics - TBH have not seen the satin vers. in person and sure others can provide a pic for contrast - guessing you can't go wrong in either case!:

Thanks for the prompt response. Photos are very helpful. I’m definitely going to select that same option. I also believe in an understated aesthetic which I would imagine for many individuals goes along with their choice of a Volcano Grey exterior.Hi Mark - and thx for the compliments - most appreciated.

Actually I am not using CETE right now - was working a bit sporadically and the app reported that a couple of connections are not 100% - so the guys at Extreme will fix that July 11th when I bring it back in for 1/2 day. Once sorted I can def share a series of pics on how it is setup and used.Such an informative thread—thank you!
If you’re ever bored and in need of a reason to post more pics, I would love to see the cete “show” mode activated.
Well car back today but had no time to mess with my CETE settings - however turns out the apparent error was just a bit of confusion around resetting the car after a firmware update and in fact the CETE system is 100% installed AOK - awesome.Such an informative thread—thank you!

Yes set and forget the way to go and some of the minor connection errors I’m getting might well be 100% user error in that I need to recheck the App instructions as there is a proper seq to follow which I am fairly sure I’m not!!super helpful, i appreciate it. i think your closing line is what I was most curious about; creating settings and the ability to kind of set and forget and what that experience is like. seems super useful. show mode is certainly cool for the cars and coffee set.
CAN YOU POST LINK TO SPARE TIRE INFO?I should add this to the other post but had my Porsche spare wheel tire mounted and wanted to show those interested as to how large it is in the trunk - you can actually stand it up straight but not sure I'd recommend that option given the significantly reduced rear visibility- nonetheless, you can do it and the tire is not touching the roof glass - of course if you are traveling two up only, you can fold down your rear seats and still have a massive amount of available luggage space.
Showing shots of it in there with tray on and off - also low angle shot to show how much space still available above when when laid flat.
The pic of my hidden rear compartment just shows how much stuff easily fits in there - I have my mobile charger, the full car jack with wrenches in the black cloth bag, a bunch of other bits and pieces including my TeslaTap Mini, Adams spray wax, clothes etc. All hidden once cover on.
In rear trunk of a Cross Turismo - jack kit in hidden storage beneath:

Sense of space between wheel-tire and rear cover tray (lots!):

Here it is with teh cover tray removed - rear seats of course still being used - ton more space on top:

Just for grins, stood it up straight - NOT touching roof glass and actually the roof line stops the wheel from hitting rear glass if unsecured (which of course you would do anyway!) - now obviously not recommended given rear view obstruction but in a pic if needed can do:

Peak into my hidden storage - has my spare wheel entire jack kit (black bag), Porsche charger, and a bunch of other odds and ends:
