How to charge to 85%

I’m trying to figure out how charge my Taycan to 85% when I am plugged in at home. I’ve read different things, I still can’t get it. Could somebody please help me with a step-by-step simplified explanation. Thank you!!

Maybe I did it wrong but that didn’t work for me. I had to set a charging timer.

A timer is a different way to get it done but should not be needed.

Every time I tried the general profile though my car charged to 100%. I even followed a video porsche put out.

That’s not the way it is supposed to work. Using a profile to hit a certain charge level has always worked fine for me and many others.

Tbh Idk… asked my sales person and he just said to set timer

If you dump your settings you have setup in the car someone can probably help you troubleshoot

If you turned on “Direct Charging “ it would ignore the level and charge to 100%. Is it possible you turned this on?

I did not turn on direct charging.

Were you using optimized charging or preferred times? Preferred times charges to 100% without a timer.

Simplest is to follow the advice of @illini_sf whenever you have a question about something with respect to the Taycan. Pcarwhisperer https://www.youtube.com/c/Pcarwhisperer/videos has a lot of videos on how the Taycan operates.

Positive it was active? If not active, car also charges to 100%.

Profile set to 85% min on optimized and nothing else results in charging to 85% immediately when plugged in. So, you either had something set wrong or the car didn’t take the settings.
