Out of curiosity, have you ever tested your setup against any police guns? Just curious if you can JTG with this setup against different guns.

For places like Texas or California (which made jammers illegal) for true stealth I would suggest Stinger VIP fiber setup. The heads are so tiny, when properly installed, even the laser jammer enthusiasts (the guys who blog about it, etc) couldn't find them when inspecting my Tesla install during a testing meet (hint, you can hide them in the panel gaps around the hood or headlights for example). Here is the head size comparison (a little skewed as you'd need 2 of those fibers, one rx and one tx, to replace an ALP rx head, but you still get the idea). Of course even with a stealth setup, you should never JTG (Jam To Gun), but instead slow down when it goes off and kill the jammers, allowing the cop to get a solid readout of you doing the speed limit.

While Stinger is not as good as ALP, it works. Unfortunately besides being almost 2x the price, they have been effectively out of stock since COVID hit, so I will be doing an ALP setup for my Taycan when it arrives (Dec/Jan time frame). Jammers are not illegal where I drive, but I still intend to stelthize them a bit so at least the bare ALP heads are not showing.
I have tested with my neighborhood security (who use Li-Dar). I allow JTG with them and they have confirmed that it does JTG. I've also inadvertently tested with 100% success. Motorcycle cops with what looks like Li-Dar binoculars have hit me multiple times when I'm going 85+. I adjust my speed and kill the jammers. I have yet to get a ticket. I should mention that jammers are legal in Nevada.

Thanks. Was just curious whether or not your headlights were missing a little coverage in that configuration. Good to hear this works.

I don't believe Op was implying that, the picture's just an illustration showing what the cop thought were jammers.
So a cop just pulled a random picture from the internet that didn't even have anything to do with laser jamming? I wonder what he googled.

Most police speed guns use radar . It will be interesting if Taycan's radar band interferes with police radar bands .
It will not. Radio/radar frequency bands are strictly controlled by government institutions (FCC in the US), automotive radars are on different bands than police radar.

Side note, this radio spectrum regulation is also why jamming a radar is highly illegal in the US (fines and possible jail time for unauthorized transmissions on a controlled frequency) while lidar jamming is not (no regulation on what color light you can emit).

The cop didn't do anything other than look at a picture jrkennedy37 showed him. That's what I'm getting from this anyway...
Gotta admit and having never looked at them from that angle, they do sort of look like a bit of an afterthought.

Ah, so the problem started with the OP trying to prove to the cop that there are no jammers on his car.

PS> ALP's are aftermarket parking sensors (they are functional as such). They happen to be used by some people to jam laser when "misconfigured". ;) Stinger VIP is just an onboard trip computer with some sensors too - you have to load special software to turn it into radar/laser defense system. You can also very quickly revert the software back with a press of couple of buttons. To reload the defense system firmware you have to use a USB and reflash it.

Being in FRANCE we do not have that kind of setup or tech ... what ur system is made of? Components ? How much cost u?
Start with https://www.stinger.com/

No official resellers/installers in France, but the are in a few European countries where you could probably drive to to get it installed, or order parts from (unless France made it illegal to even import).

I have front laser defense installed on my Tesla Model S (3RX/3TX) and front + read radar. Laser is using tiny fibers to as I said very hard to spot even by people who know their jammers. Radar antennas are hidden under the bumper aprons, so invisible from the outside - not sure whether they are RDD detectable (not an issue for me as radar detectors are not illegal here). Cost will depend on your country. In the US, the maxed out system (front+rear laser&radar) will run you ~$8K in hardware (so about 2x the cost of a comparable ALP system). Installation will vary depending on who does it for you. I've heard of people paying $8K+ just for installation. I installed it myself.
