I’m still waiting on my allocation, but with the way cars are going I might just stay in my ct4s, friend has just had a bid from opc which would have him roughly 15k down from buying in march , we all expect depreciation but Jesus many have bought Thinking there safe

It's not just Porsche though.
This was a recent comment from VW group:

"Challenges to our supply chain will become the rule, not the exception," Blume said, citing barriers to technology transfers between East and West.

A lack of semiconductors and other critical parts meant the carmaker has 150,000 unfinished vehicles and is stocking up on supplies to protect against further shortages in winter, Antlitz said in an earnings call.

If it’s stuck in Germany then I think it must be some part of the standard spec is missing. I think they can ship to dealers to hold with optional spec missing, but if standard bits are missing then the car stays in Germany. This is why (I think) the cars most likely to lose Bose are ones where it is an option rather than standard
This could very well be it. Mine is a TTS so comes with Bose as standard. Going to try and find out more information but suspect it’s a component issue as you say

I suppose with high interest rates and a predicted multi-year recession anybody marginal on affording a Taycan would be wise to bail out while they can, I am expecting used prices to drop substantially.

I tend to keep a car I like for at least 6 years, sometimes much longer, and am hoping the extravagance of owning one won't effect my children's inheritance too badly...

Something we have all been predicting for some time - outcome being it speeds up delivery times with fewer customers.

It also looks like some sanity to the used market is about to arrive, where all along I was expecting 10% annual depreciation on my GTS ST. That now looks even more likely based on where the world economy is going.

I think the depreciation is properly there now for cars that have been actually driven, and I have been increasingly concerned with the members of the forum who feel guaranteed an easy lucrative sale on their used 20/21 Taycans.

In anticipation of a hopeful new arrival soon, I just sold my two year old well-specced MY21 4S, and I tested the market properly with careful price reductions etc needed to sell it. It sold for £20k less than I paid for it in Nov 20, with 19k miles on it, so £10k per annum (slightly less than 10%), and I still feel very pleased with that given historic experiences with other premium German motors! I do think that is the norm now.

Six months make a big difference, and Mar-May was where the war etc was disrupting Taycan builds. Used prices elevated.

It's slowly normalising now, but then we also have a news articles about recession and economic turmoil on its way. Used prices tank.

Normal depreciation curves are now back.

My dealer today told me he does not have a date that the car will arrive (current due date 11/11/2022). Porsche AG have said they are actively fitting the batteries but won’t divulge how many cars have had them, how many cars will be getting them shortly or how many batteries they have in hand. He obviously wants to get me in it as much as I want to be in it, but can’t guarantee delivery or have any idea when my car will come. He hopes within the next month, but it could potentially go into next year. Again, nothing the dealer can do, but poor planning and comms from Porsche

I just sold my Nov 21 CT4 for exactly what I paid for it 12 months ago - it had done 6500 miles and was a very basic spec. and also had no pan. roof. - so a free year and 0% depreciation - the OPC then resold in 48 hours for £10k over what they gave me - I think the market is turning now that supply seems to be improving but there's just so little stock about - my new one is in build now and supposed to hand over to me 10th Dec.............. who knows ?

Great outcome well done! I think it’s a different dynamic for tourismo than saloons where the numbers are so much greater.

Agreed - the Porsche group buyer who came to give mine the once over said they're getting quite agressive on buying-in prices now particularly for higher priced & specced cars - but overall all CT, 4s & RWD versions all faring well - what a car though! - already missing mine whilst anticipating the arrival of the new one .........

Keep it coming! I need reminding how good this car is after 12 months waiting.

I managed to get a cancelled order spot and only paid my depo a month back and my car went into build on Tuesday so all being well 10 weeks from deposit, spec. and delivery - very lucky timing
