There was a dealer issued tsb in 2020/2021 for 2020 cars that had an issue with demisting. I remember mine suffered the same problem and a quick visit to the dealer had it fixed. Sorry I can’t remember the exact details but should be easy to look into. If it’s not the heater it could be that.
Im someone who is selling mine in year one with low miles, but I still love the car, and I loved my first one MY21 just as much! I have just had a total change of circs since I ordered it in Nov 21 and am not doing the car justice by using it enough. Some people just have changes of...
There is certainly a bit of a collapse on demand for EVs which is sad to see. In the UK I saw the first 0% finance offer from a manufacturer that I have seen in ages. From Cupra (sun brand of vw group) for their EV the Born. Which is a great car.
I’m totally with you on this @f1eng ! I could never understand why Porsche’s ACC system was not designed to enable you to run it in active or passive modes but this is exactly why I don’t want it either.
I was also on OI already when I was informed of the new pricing. I’m pretty sure it, or a version of it, will be applied to all OI customers however. They do seem to be trying to get customers off the Go tariff.
My understanding having now spent some time reading into it properly is that by selecting the tariff you simply unlock the six hours off peak (1130-0530). You can use one of your cars as the one that accesses the intelligent features, but the rest of the house (including your charger) has access...
Im a longstanding Octo Go customer but have been waiting for this possible development too. Does anyone know please how it works if you have two EVs? Both of mine would be supported but can the Intelligent system operate with more than one EV to control? And is the 6 hour window guaranteed to be...
Call me paranoid but I’ve always taken the view that it’s best to leave Home unpopulated in case the car gets stolen, and to stop the scrotes at least knowing where Home is….
you can use Octopus Go with any charging kit you want it’s just a very simple product that gives four hours off peak rate. You do need a working smart meter.
I think this thread has resulted in so many moves to Ovo that Octopus have reacted by reducing their prices today!
It’s all regional specific I think but my recently increased overnight rate has come down from 12p to 9.5p
I havent tried it yet in my GTS but at a recent visit to the Porsche Experience @ Silverstone I got to pull a few launches in a Turbo S. Oh my god. I thought as a 2+yr 4S owner I would be reasonably well prepared for it. Nope.
I ordered the Racetex b-pillar lower section (which is part of the EM prog) and yes it added about three weeks to my build time (as shown the dealers schedule I saw at the time).
You can use Octopus Go with the porsche and other EVSE chargers but it’s Octopus Intelligent that you cannot use without the Ohme and described above.
I’ve been finding Go excellent for my use case until now when my fixed rates deal has changed and it’s painful. Considering OVO too…
Can you let me know how you applied please? I was looking at it but it suggested online that only available to existing ovo customers currently? Thanks.
I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed as this is typical for the winter range most of us are experiencing in the UK right now especially with a new car that hasn’t yet learned your habits and bedded in the brakes. Lots of other threads on this topic. It will improve on the summer but probably don’t...
