There is certainly a bit of a collapse on demand for EVs which is sad to see. In the UK I saw the first 0% finance offer from a manufacturer that I have seen in ages. From Cupra (sun brand of vw group) for their EV the Born. Which is a great car.

I’m totally with you on this @f1eng ! I could never understand why Porsche’s ACC system was not designed to enable you to run it in active or passive modes but this is exactly why I don’t want it either.

I was also on OI already when I was informed of the new pricing. I’m pretty sure it, or a version of it, will be applied to all OI customers however. They do seem to be trying to get customers off the Go tariff.

I’ve just had a notice today that they are reducing the peak day-rate from 40p ish to 30pish in my area on OI too. ?

you can use Octopus Go with any charging kit you want it’s just a very simple product that gives four hours off peak rate. You do need a working smart meter.

I think this thread has resulted in so many moves to Ovo that Octopus have reacted by reducing their prices today! It’s all regional specific I think but my recently increased overnight rate has come down from 12p to 9.5p

You can use Octopus Go with the porsche and other EVSE chargers but it’s Octopus Intelligent that you cannot use without the Ohme and described above. I’ve been finding Go excellent for my use case until now when my fixed rates deal has changed and it’s painful. Considering OVO too…
