I am almost 5 months in and haven’t tried it yet. This spring for sure. I have done it once or twice with each Porsche I’ve owned just for kicks.

What did you think of the rumble?

No one ever talks about the rumbling.

What caught me off guard wasn’t the acceleration but the whole theatre in preparation for the launch.

My first and only Launch was a year after ownership when my wife and baby were NOT in the car.

Didn't even get up to 100 km/hr...had to stop at 60...

City driving, not much I can do.

It's a pity that Porsche limited the function in line with the ICE models. All it should need to trigger it is flooring the accelerator when Hold is engaged. Then again, I rarely take an opportunity to use it, as most of the time circumstances would make me feel a bit of a ****- even without the soundtrack of a screaming engine.

I havent tried it yet in my GTS but at a recent visit to the Porsche Experience @ Silverstone I got to pull a few launches in a Turbo S. Oh my god. I thought as a 2+yr 4S owner I would be reasonably well prepared for it. Nope.

Rip your face off acceleration.

Now that it’s warmer outside and sometimes doesn’t rain I do it once or twice when I’m driving. Yes I look like a ddck but it’s such a nice thing to brighten the day. I live outside the city so have a lot of half empty straight roads. Believe it or not sometimes I pull over to the side and wait specifically for the red light to then launch it. I got a bit used to it though.

Still waiting for my GTS but I do enjoying launching my M3P to exactly 30 mph :)

Whenever I'm in a bad mood, I swing by my favorite place to "launch" on my way home from work. Immediately brightens my mood. Nothing like launching a TTS.
