If it's any tiny consolation for those with no build in sight- I ordered a Cayenne e-Hybrid the month it was launched (in 2018) and press cars were being reviewed, and had a 14 month wait to be notified of a build slot, 17 months to delivery. IIRC there were no production challenges, the model had none of the cachet of a GTS, that was just the way Porsche scheduled its production.

That's a good insight but what's more concerning for many is we are fifth or tenth on a list and ordered many months after launch.

If it follows a similar pattern to your Cayenne, then some could be waiting 2+ years... For a Taycan ?

Agreed, I am 12th on the list and no drop offs so far. Order was placed 6 weeks after launch......

Honestly it's nuts. I hope you get bumped or allocations start coming through.

From what Porsche Leicester intimated, they will get all of their 2023 allocations in Q1.

So if I haven't heard anything by March and if they still cannot give me a more accurate date for delivery, I will have to consider cancelling where I would effectively have nothing more than question marks after 13 months.

Leicester - part of the same group as Solihull. They still claim to be advised on 2023 allocation this month. There's such a disconnect and variation in information which has been the only consistency from the moment I pushed the button.

It is a really odd situation specific to the GTS ST in particular. Why launch the model with such a fanfare if the production numbers were going to be so limited. We are used to this with Porsche's GT range but its a really odd thing to do with a GTS model. I would say there are more 992 GT3s on the road (and coming) than GTS ST Taycans! Seems particularly acute in the UK but not limited to UK clearly.

I don’t think it’s specific to the Gts, ive been waiting over 12 months for a CT 4S. I heard the dealer quoting two years to new customers when i was in there last weekend.

It does appear to be more of an issue in the UK compared to other markets. Regardless of model.
