Malacca Highway arriving at Sheerness around now

I’m hearing a commitment to Porsche GB to ship 100 cars into the U.K. this week (w/c 21/6/20) - to date only 30 have been achieved. Perhaps Malacca Highway due Wed am to Sheerness & possibly City of Rotterdam if it loads tomorrow & makes it Thurs/Fri am to Grimsby will achieve or exceed this . . . . There seems to be little joy for customer orders for cars that have been at Emden for a few weeks promised in April

Yeah, there were only 4 cars for my dealership on the Malacca Highway consignment last week, no of them Taycan's. Which I was selfishly pleased about, as I was the first to order mine back in Sept '19

And lunchtime Wednesday the City of Rotterdam sailS again for Grimsby ... due there Thursday evening (Malacca Highway should be docked Wed am in Sheerness ... hopefully a few more Taycans on board

Not 4,000 Taycans though due to their extra weight - maybe that's an explanation of the priority of the other (lighter) VAG cars being loaded onto the boats now in order to clear the port more quickly?

Much like you I’ve been reading this forum with interest for months as I wait patiently for my Taycan 4s. I placed a deposit on the car in 2018, confirmed my order in October 2019, the car was built and left Zuffenhausen on the 5th of March. It’s been waiting 100km south of Emden Port since lockdown commeced (20th March ish). I received a call from the dealer this week to say my car has arrived and I can collect on Friday. The car came via Grimsby and the dealership is Porsche Centre Leeds.

Not 4,000 Taycans though due to their extra weight - maybe that's an explanation of the priority of the other (lighter) VAG cars being loaded onto the boats now in order to clear the port more quickly?

you could be on to something SteveMc (performance plus 4S models to the end of the queue! )

Yes looks like any Taycan’s that are arriving into the UK are via Grimsby for the northern dealers. Anything going via Sheerness isn’t moving.

I got a new screenshot from my dealer yesterday regarding my car (Due to Grimsby). There was no update on anything and it was basically the same as the last screenshot from weeks ago.

Im due in to the dealership on Thursday to give them my PX and test drive a Turbo S so will hopefully get some more info with a face to face chat.

I have heard from a reliable source that the Porsche dealers have written off the last quarter (April - June) as they were unable to hit sales targets so no dealer bonuses from Porsche! They gain no financial incentive to deliver cars in this quarter.

They will be pushing to deliver cars from 1st July as the new quarter starts. This probably does not apply to PGB owned dealers (e.g Hatfield who delivered my car).

You guys will see your cars coming through from 1st July

Nice info @TAYC4N ...Makes complete sense, considering the factory shutdown from March, dearship closures and also this quater being in the heat of lockdown...... Oh well, its the 1 July next week. I might as well take advantage of the weather and top up my tan !!
