Would that tyre be available in 20”?
I ask because I’m driving my 3rd Taycan (formerly 4S on 20” then Turbo Mission E 21” - both coupes and now a 4S Sports Turismo on 20”)
The 21” alloys look fab but you sacrifice road noise and handling - esp with pothole shudder. I bought a second hand set of...
I have had Gen 1.1 4S (on 20”) Gen1.1 Turbo on Mission E.. both coupes and now drive a Gen1.2 4S back on 20”.
I loved the Turbo but the Mission E were a bit bumpy and increased road noise.
Generally the ST styling is a little more sedate but load carrying capacity is significantly better...
Nice car and I think it’s decent all round - not high miles and very individual spec … good deal for the new owner and not far off the best price (under normal market conditions) you expect as part of a Porsche for Porsche trade in … (I do think you’d possibly do better in current dowdy market...
that’s exactly the feedback / info I was looking for - thank you (I’d say this is helpful to many forum members reading this) -
thankfully most drivers with majority of charging done at home don’t bother with “plug and charge” option. Certainly not used in our household.
many thanks
I’ve IONITY membership linked to two new Porsche Evs this autumn.
my daughter drives an ID4 and her husband is using it to and from maternity hospital where she’s just given birth to twins. The manic trips to visit her mean it’s depleted its charge and I know there’s an IONITY station 1 mile...
Oak Green … the forced accompaniment of lighter grey (rather than complementing the darker grey/black) steering wheel and seat belts looks a bit odd … I’m trying to deny it annoys me! ?♂️
Having had a July 2020 launch model 4S and then Taycan Turbo before my recent change to Sports Turismo 4S in facelift/Gen2 or whatever fits I’d firmly say this latest car feels more than a tweak!
1. Performance is significantly different and truly feels more than half way to Turbo stats
2...
I completely concur with @winge … I collected a new Macan 4 yesterday and there were a few brand new well spec’d Taycan G2 (MY24) cars sitting in the showroom - bought speculatively by the dealer I’d say and the recent bad press on downward turn for EV cars is dampening demand … don’t get...
thanks - I’ve tried the two personalised “diamond” buttons and neither offer suspension as settings but let’s see what the dealer says,
thanks forum members that have shared thoughts and opinions on this ??,
Stephen
Thank you for that info and summary.
I’ve had Air Suspension in all of my Taycans so know nothing else.
In addition to Performance plus battery on all my Taycans I also have 4 wheel steer on last two I’ve owned plus RaceTex upholstery (which I think) keeps driver and car in unison - no slipping...
Hi Guys,
Just picked up my Gen2 Taycan Sports Turismo 4S (Oak Green) after Dolomite 4S and Crayon Turbo (the Turbo with Racetex interior was a fab car just short on range)
The improvements promised for Gen2 have been great, super fast charge and nice extension to range but as a few lads have...
Yeah - I’m curious by this reference to “thinner” ???
here’s my Gen1 Turbo with Mission E wheels.
(Am I correct that Porsche don’t have the configurator that refers to impact of various spec items on range - specifically wheels?)
I think it’s what @winge said a few months ago …. Pretty much range enticed because of larger battery … despite awaiting delivery in a few weeks of my third Taycan (since July 2020) I’m a bit underwhelmed by all the “wow” publicity from Porsche about the engineering linked to Gen2 range...
I’ve contacted my dealer and been told to expect the 30p / 31p per kw rate for my pending delivery new Porsche Ev’s, so perhaps these are rates for transacting outside Porsche charging / new car 3yr periods.
Yeah - as a 95% charge at home driver I’m thrilled to see IONITY enhance its network (esp in Ireland N+S) while I await my 3rd Taycan and a Macan EV for my wife.
The Porsche charging cards and alliance with IONITY is brilliant in terms of value too. Increased charging options should mean...
I was there in Feb 24 and had two vouchers so took my brother.
It was a great driver day and a tasty lunch pre the driving (or breakfast if you attend the morning session)
We had choice of whatever car we wanted (we joked that the car park to the rear was “the library” and they must have had...
