If it was Scuderia merchandise, maybe they were just declaring support for their team.
In the latest Porsche Lifestyle Collection email I noticed a Frozen Blue t-shirt that has "Taycan" written across it- I'd have to wear that inside-out, though that's a moot point as I'm not prepared to pay Porsche premiums for mundane stuff. If anyone likes such stuff, I say live and let live- especially as I'm probably guilty of worse fashion crimes.

That's why I love my McLaren. Settles all the arguments :);)

I found this an interesting take, though I find his prosody* rather distracting.
(*yes, I did have to find the right word to use and now hope to remember it long enough to use it again).

Good point- I'd better brush up on my acting skills in case in case my partner has decided to surprise me with that T-shirt on Christmas Day.

Years ago a friend invited me to a filming of Top Gear at Dunsfold. Whilst I fully accept Jeremy Clarkson is a divisive figure, his pre-filming warm-up where he mercilessly took the mickey out of anyone in the audience wearing manufacturer branded clothing was a work of comic perfection.

There were a lot of sheepish individuals in AMG, Porsche etc branded jackets climbing into their modded Focus STs at the end of the day….

I do have to say I love both brands but both excel in different areas. The new Porsche’s, with the exception of a very few, to me are very mundane and not exciting unless you are really trying to push the car. Which on the street is not advisable. They are so capable that the ordinary street driving is kind of boring. However this makes them a Swiss Army knives as they can be very comfortable and usable daily drivers while also providing incredible track performance. They really come alive when you push them. Also think the Porsche is the superior track car specifically it’s GT lines.

Ferrari on the other hand is an exciting vehicle at any speed. You don’t need to push the car to get a grin on your face. However it’s not a car you want to drive every day it’s best served for purpose drives.

Both brands have been very reliable for me. Other than the Taycan of course but that’s a first gen product so I am fine with it needing more service. I would however trust Porsche reliability more with consistent track use. I will always like to keep both brands in my garage.

As for merchandise I don’t see any reason not to wear any brand you like if you really love the product. I have both Ferrari and Porsche merchandise which I wear from time to time. Even have wrangler merch that I wear. None of them are in your face and more subtle clothes but I like to rep the brands that I love. I couldn’t care less what others think of the clothes I wear. If it’s something your passionate about go for it.

Confession time on the brand pronunciation front- I've realised that I've been hypocritical about using correct pronunciation when you know what it should be- no way could I keep a straight face and say Lanchia, despite my night-class Italian.

I only wear clothes with branding on the outside if somebody is paying me.

Sadly I’ve ended up in some pretty extrovert colour schemes as a result see my avatar at the moment.

I do think that the fashion businesses greatest victory is to get people to pay high prices for very cheap to make “sports“ clothes with trendy logos on.

I went to look at a Puresangue one time I was at the Porsche dealer, they are next door, because I like a 4 door and it isn’t as hideously bulky and unaerodynamic as is typical for a SUV. It was lovely, pity about the fuel consumption.
@f1eng called an SUV lovely? I think someone must have hijacked his account. Someone let @Administrator know.

We can cut frank some slack. Ferrari call it an FUV (Ferrari Utility Vehicle) rather than an SUV

All to disguise the fact that Luca di Montezemolo famously said Ferrari “would never build an SUV”

I would add that Porsches are for going fast, and doing so reliably. Ferraris are all about getting attention. I found that out the hard way when every gold digger within 100 miles would turn up pass soon as I parked the car in a public place.
Weird, I only had one gold digger in 27 years but maybe it is the places I go. Maybe its a US v UK difference???
My wife prefers never to go in mine "One of my friends might see me in it"

I am told a Range Rover is the ultimate gold digger magnet in the UK but I don't know.

Joking apart it has an aerodynamic shape and is only a couple of inches taller than a Merc S-class very much unlike a typical SUV, more of an Estate car to my eye...

My wife refuses to drive mine to her work (or at all most of the time), on the basis that it's "too flashy" and thinks it's "unnecessary". I don't even like to think what she'd say if it was a Fezza
