Porsche Taycan How to renew my online radio service? IMG_20231224_044743

Q for N American Taycan owners:

My online/internet radio subscription expired last year, but I kind of miss it and want to renew, however I cannot seem to find the option to renew it in My Porsche account. Can anyone point out the link where I can renew?

Press connect and it’ll forward you to the Porsche connect item that you can buy to get online services back

Thanks, I had to do some deeper digging and figured out I have to subscribe to the mobile wifi Hotspot service to re-enable online radio (and Apple Music/Podcasts which I don't use). Not sure if it's worth paying $20/month ??

If what you want is the online/internet radio (globe symbol) that is a part of the Porsche media system (and what you highlighted in your original post), you do not need in-car wifi hotspot for that. You do need "Porsche connect" for that. Look at https://connect-store.porsche.com/

Unfortunately the terms have changed in the fine print:

My understanding is the in-car wifi hotspot is an add-on function on demand that essentially provides wifi in the car for devices other than the PCM wanting separate, individual connections to the internet. Porsche Connect is base functionality for the car including Porsche online radio, navigation assists, etc. (must be purchased after 3 years).
Since I don't have the in-car wifi hotspot, I don't know if it works without the base product - Porsche Connect.
I do know I have Porsche online radio in the PCM as one of many functions of Porsche Connect.
Good luck.
