Looks like I have joined the club …

Car is about 4 months old and less than 3,000 miles.

I was charging slowly overnight so wonder if it’s related to that.

I was able to drive (had to as had an early flight this morning - and had no time to mess about to see if it would reset itself) and hoping it will be ok when I fly back later in the week.

May I please ask what eventually happened? This just happened to me and at the same time I lost all blow heating (second time I’ve had this issue as well as a replaced high speed charging port last year) - car currently at the dealer being diagnosed…

It was fine after I came back to the car a couple of days later. I guess switching off and on again would have probably cleared it but I didn’t have time to check as was rushing for a flight.

Both DC and AC charging have been working fine - I was a little worried about AC as it was AC charging when the original error came up … but it has been fine since. I’m guessing my issue was more software related than anything else … keeping my fingers crossed that it won’t recur.

Interesting thread in a different forum about Taycan "DIY" battery module repair to fix red electrical error. The repair was done by a non-Porsche mechanic shop in SE Asia - not an individual owner.

Forgot the link? Or did some anti-competition forum bot strip it from your post?

2020 Taycan Turbo, 5k miles, bought CPO. Have had the dreaded red light come on 2x in first month of ownership. Both times I turned off the car and it started after a 5 min delay. Very concerned it will happen while driving now, calling dealership

Have you considered checking the cell map with the Car Scanner app as many of us have done? I had two bad cells before I got the red error message, and that seems to be typical. Then you are at an information advantage when the dealership service department calls you with their diagnosis. Some dealerships take the path of just replacing the modules containing the bad cells, but other dealerships have learned the hard way that HV battery pack rework is problematic, so they go straight to replacing the entire pack:

Oh and where do I find the Car Scanner App? Is it on Apple?

Thank You
Dealer has the car and replicated red light warning. Unreal, I’ve had it for 3 weeks and it’s now in the shop for how long? It only had 4900 miles on it. Maybe the Taycan Turbo deal was too good to be true. Not happy and I’ve been a Porsche owner for years, this is my 3rd Porsche….but kinda feel they sold me a lemon

It’s possible they sold you a lemon. It’s also possible that something broke shortly after you bought it. It always sucks when stuff breaks but I’m sure they will fix it. Hopefully they get you squared away quickly.

Thanks, just hard to believe they didn’t see this previously. It’s a 2020 Turbo and a Porsche Exec car

I tried googling this - no luck after 20 mins or so… any other clues you can give to help pin down the thread with the suggested DIY fix …. This is a just in case effort given I have had the red circle once …. Before it fixed itself ……
