I own a 2021 and 2022 Taycan, the 2021 has been reliable for most of the time with a few small issues here and there, this is a rear wheel drive car and has not one factory option. My 2022 has 40k in options, I ordered this car and spared no expense. The 2022 however has been a service nightmare, the car constatnly unlocks itself, sometimes 3 or 4 times in a row. The PCM goes dark while driving, sometimes for a minute or two and other times for a day or more. In addition I have had the car in the shop probably a dozen times or more in the first year or so of ownership. I have never considered looking into the California Lemon Law but feel I deserve a better and more reliable product, especially for the premium costs of this car.

Has anyone had any experience with the California Lemon Law with a Taycan? If so, please share your experience, if it is impossible to do in a public forum please DM me ar we can share phone numbers and swap war stories.

Not sure about CA but in FL car has to be new and within 2 years of buying it. The fact it is a 2022 makes it unlikely its still covered under the law. I think CA has 18 months period, someone correct me if I am wrong.

California. has a 48 month period for filing, Florida law is not a concern of mine.

My request for buy-back under the California Lemon Law is pending on my 2022 Taycan RWD that went into the dealership at 17 months and 1 day, 9,237 miles, and remained there for 54 days to deal with high voltage batter failure, i.e., the "circle of red death" message that I had experienced "electrical system failure". I am an attorney, so I'll report how Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) responds, since I calculate that PCNA must pay me the purchase price plus tax, registration and licensing fees, less 7.77% for usage credit (the mileage divided by 120,000).

@Dr. Debt would you please share how things worked out. I just got the “circle of red death” message and the dealer is telling me that they are going to remove the vehicle battery to run some testing to submit to Germany. From their Porsche will determine is a cell replacement is needed or a new battery. they are saying about two weeks for a response.
