Launch X-431 and Taycan

Has anyone used a Launch X-431 to change codings on their Taycan? I’ve seen some discussion of PIWIS of course, but I already have an X-431 for use with my other vehicles. Trying to see if I can make some of the same coding changes without having to find a PIWIS. Searched various fora and came up empty, so I’m hoping to find people who’ve figured some things out but just haven’t bothered posting about it.

Ok I've made a little bit of progress on this.

System is Front-End Electronics, then go into Coding Value_1 and _2.

In there I've found Daytime running light1_config, Daytime running light_available, Daytime running light_MMI, Daytime running light_break, Sidelight_at_daytime running light, Daytime running light_at_sidelight, Daytime running light_at_indication_config.

I haven't been able to write changes to the couple of these I tried, for some reason. It might just be the order in which I write to one first?

Nope. Tried two methods that I understand for trying to write values and neither would allow me to write. I’m wondering if there’s some other step I’m missing to be able to make these changes.

Based on other threads talking about this change, I think it’s these four that need to be changed from Not Active to Active:

Daytime running light_at_sidelight
Daytime running light_break
Daytime running light_MMI
Sidelight_at_daytime running light

Hi, i'm new to this forum, but have been reading up on all things taycan as i have one and just starting learning about coding. great to see your post and contribution. hoping we get more to collaborate on this.

i also have a launch x431, the 2024 dyno pro model to be exact. been using it to code my 991.1 which works pretty well, but i have issues writing to my taycan. may i ask what year is yours? mine is a 2022.

MY2024 — I have managed to write some settings, but none of these related to the DRL. I've tried emailing the "Overseas Service" support channel for Launch but haven't heard back.

Hi, I heard back from Launch support both from US and overseas. US said my device is not a north america version so they can not support it, and the overseas support said i have to "authorize and log in" to the model to be able to code it.

Would you know anything about authorizing and logging in to the model?

No, I haven't seen anything about having to do that with my particular model.

That's interesting. Can you tell me 1 thing you were able to code on your taycan with your x431? I want to see if I can do it on mine.
