Hi - has anyone actually had the ARA4 /ARA5 + WRJ5 campaigns completed in Southern California? (I'm not referring to other battery replacements, specifically the recall campaign)

If so, which dealer?

Dealer is telling me it will be a month to simply get the crate to ship the battery and return times are over a month.

Wondering what your real experience is.

According to other US people, between 3 months and 24 months. No technicians working in US, have to be flown to each location or battery to where the technician is.

According to EU people, 1-3 weeks, as technicians are more broadly available

I had all of them done at Santa Barbara Auto Group back in January. It took about 3 hours and the battery checked out as okay.

I'm still going on 3 months and it did take over month just for the container and then shipping back to Oklahoma for them to determine they would replace rather than repair. Supposedly the new battery pack will be at the dealer this week. My dealer in Portland only has one technician certified to do any work on batteries.

So I mis typed the campaign numbers, was referring to the battery recalls which were issued in March. So you have had those done already before the campaigns were issued?

Ok this is what I was looking for. I'm getting the same sob story from my dealer... I'm about 1" from pushing a buy back of the car. Love it, and am very loyal to the brand (I have 5 Porsches now) but this back and forth and the amount of time its spending in the shop with recalls is just to the point of unacceptable.

Don't really care what the experience is in Europe. And your response isn't accurate. These campaigns are being handled at a central location.

Bumping this - crate arrived earlier than expected and battery is off the car shipped off. Dealer said last one they did was 40 day turn around. Hopefully its faster
At least I have a 2025 taycan to thrash.

Thanks for sharing status. Let us know how it goes and how long it takes.

I'm going through this process now too. My dealer told me six to eight weeks for the whole process. They'll have had the car for three weeks tomorrow, and the battery was allegedly sent out this past Friday.

I'm not sure accurate their estimates are as my car is only the second one they have done. The first took around a month to get the battery back.

Where is your car? My car is at Circle / Long Beach...

I'm taking the plunge with Porsche Irvine.
I won't go there, I have Long Beach pickup the car (they send a flat bed...) to Laguna Beach. I refuse to patronize Irvine and Newport since they were bought by Autonation. Got into a heated argument with the GM at Irvine for some terrible service a couple years ago. Unfortunately Long Beach was bought by fletcher jones but most of the service/sales guys are still there... and I always had good service from them.

Month in, the 2025 RSD Taycan sedan is pretty good, though I much prefer the CT utility. Still expecting it back by end of December.

Racking up miles on the loaner!

Yeah I don't blame you. I have been thinking about trying a different dealer; we'll see how this major recall goes before I decide..

I've put over 600 miles on the Macan. I'm waiting for my advisor to get an estimate from porsche/vendors on when the battery repair will be finished and shipped out.
