Due to a longer travel, My Porsche Taycan 2020 is stored for 6 weeks in a underground parking where I live. It is about 10 degrees Celsius at the parking and I left the car with 57% battery left.

In my case I did not have a trickle charger or a charging station on my parking spot.

Is the 12V battery gonna be drained until the time I come back or is it any way I can charge or prevent the 12V battery from dying?

Is there a way I can see from outside the car that the 12V battery is still alive? As I might ask neighbor to check the car for me

According to the manual it should be fine as long as you don't initiate a connection to the car by the key or app.
OTOH mine went flat in 9 days over Christmas and the first indication I got was the central locking not working.

The dealer found no errors so a bit worrying.

I don't think there is anything your neigbour could do which wouldn't risk draining the battery rather than conserving it.

Next time I leave my car for a while at home I will probably just leave the frunk unlocked so I can get at the jump connectors.

Hi,
I did not open the my Porsche app on my phone, but I did login to my.porsche.com, does this drains the battery? I did not leave the frunk opened because the parking is public…

The key is stored in my flat which is 3 floors over it

Key should be safely far enough away.

No idea about logging on to myPorsche.com though I would imagine if you wanted to look at any of your car data on there then it would have to contact the car.

Me neither, as I normally only use the my Porsche app. I logged on to find the options list for the car, but could not find my car in saved vehicles etc

If your neighbour doesnt mind and you don't mind leaving them the key. You can ask them to turn it on for 5-10mins every week. That should reset the 12v charging process. Either that or give the keys to someone you trust to take for a spin every 1-2 weeks while you're away.

I wish that option was possible… but I already left :(

I just leave my car plugged into the EVSE in the garage. I haven't left it for 6 weeks, but 3 weeks it did just fine, and I have a 24/7 dashcam drawing power from the 12V battery around the clock. I did notice that periodically the car would activate the EVSE to draw a little power, not sure it was for HV or 12V battery top off.

Follow the guidance in the Owner's manual on this topic but you should be fine if left with 50% - 60%

As mentioned don't use the phone app as this wakes the car up via 12v and the HV each time.

Using the Web won't connector the car as this functionality was removed some months ago.

Tell tale sign if 12v is OK is to check the red alarm led in the drivers door by the window which is activated when the car is locked.

I had charged my car 65% when I was away for 6 weeks. I left and park it outside without doing anything. I had checked my porsche app for my car every 2nd day while away. It was fine without any issue at all. The 12V battery was 13.3V on the first day when I came back. I think the main battery would top it up when it is needed.

It was my experience on '23 model not sure any models before that.

That leaves the frunk light on, but you can turn it off by activating the lock with careful pokes of a screwdriver.

If they are like the trunk lights, they will go off after few minutes on their own. I've left my trunk open when working on the car on few occasions, car times out and shuts everything off eventually.

my 2024 ct turbo left at 55% soc was flat within 12 days at xmas. underground garage likely between 2-7 c. why on earth the hv battery won't keep the 12v in shape. one comes back to a dead 12v and 50+ % of charge. beyond dumb. Also, how is it some can leave it for 6 weeks with no issues...

There's a video on youtube by a Porsche dealer connecting a charger to the 12v. They show you where to push in the lock mechanism to trick the car into thinking the frunk is closed.

Top ups only occur a fixed number of times (and scenarios) and can't be relied upon. I think there is something on this topic buried in one of the threads which explains more. MY is entirely irrelevant as it was introduced by a software patch to all models which didn't already have it.
