Rattle in mirror area

My luck has run out with no problems on my Turbo.
I have a rattle in a plastic plate behind the rear view mirror
It was replace last week and it’s louder now then before.

There is a great scene in a movie (can't remember the name now) where an Italian driver in a Ferrari looks at his passenger, looks up at his mirror and rips it off... "What's behind us means nothing, its only what's in front that matters" -

Sorry can't help but sounds probably like clips related or needs some lubrication around any joints. Some folks that fitted dashcams said you have to be careful with these trim items as the clips often snap off...Good luck.

I’m close to doing that
My first thought it was the clips but the dealer replace the complete assembly
Actually the replacement is worst‍

Interesting. I had a rattle from this exact same place, but I initially thought it was coming from the sport Chrono front clock area.

Fortunately all i did was bang it into place and it stopped rattling. I had plastic parts

Tried my local dealer (Porsche Bolton, UK) - they have been pretty useless.....

I have the same exact rattle (among others in this rattle trap of a car) and it really only happens when it is hot inside the car (i.e. park in the sun and come back). I also HATE plastic parts. Can anyone help with instructions on how to take that plastic plate off without breaking the plastic? I'm afraid if I start pulling on it I'll break something. FYI I've read you can get some anti rattle tape and it will solve the issue.

Get some panel removers, anti rattle tape and the new mirror base plate. I just bought the same and will give it a try.
