I’ve got the new GTS same as new Turbo S, but just 1 big turbo instead of 2 Smaller ones.
the GTS already rips my Taycan 4s to pieces <3secs and the immediate “pull” ftom the electric supported Turbo.

Taycan is faster when it's not artificially limited in software. Even your J1.1 4S. The facelift has almost double the horsepower possible.
The Turbo GT is also significantly quicker on the 'ring, but i'd dare to say the 911 is much more fun :)

True, but when you start getting into modification territory, you could easily say that the GTS is artificially limited by its tune as well.

Tune the GTS to add more turbo boost and it’s a race again.

Plus it doesn’t seem like the 1.1 4S tune helps much in the 0-60, more in the speeds after that which is why they focus so much on the before/after for 100-200 km/h.

You're not going to 1.5x the power on the GTS, and then you should really be price wise comparing the J1.2, which is a huge amount faster. That said, not sure anyone offers tuning for the new 911 GTS already in the first place...

It does help with 0-60 quite a bit, because after about 30mph there's completely different acceleration.
Especially for example with 10-60, where you're not starting stationary with launch control (which is also irrelevant 99% of the time).
On J1.2 different story though, they do 2.6-2.7 tuned and the Turbo S/Turbo GT are even faster than that.

As soon as you start modifying cars and comparing, all the rules go out the window.
You could easily 1.5x the horsepower, as soon as someone figures out a tune and accompanying mods.

Stock to stock is always a fair comparison. Mod to mod? So many variables. Once you start modifying cars, you can make a Honda civic faster than a Ferrari.

But yes, it’s pretty awesome how you can easily push the horsepower levels on the lower trim cars up to Turbo/Turbo S level.

This is really not the same. The Taycan is factory detuned. They make the identical car with 4x different horsepower numbers on the FL (Taycan 4, Taycan 4S, Taycan GTS, Taycan Turbo).
For the money of the 911 GTS you can get a Turbo S. That has 951PS from factory and it's way quicker.

I'd still always take the GTS for the track, it was fun driving it at Porsche Experience in Hockenheim.

You are correct that it’s not exactly the same.

But the process and result are the same:

Buy new Porsche, tune the car, get more horsepower.

After that it’s just a factor of how much horsepower a tune can unlock.

For a 2025+ Taycan 4, it’s a ton. For a 2025+ Taycan Turbo S it’s a little.

For a new GTS? It’s unknown. But history tells us there is more power able to be unlocked with a simple tune.

You don't have to tune the Turbo S. A stock Turbo S is cheaper and faster and has a similar price. Also for 992.2 there is no public flash tool that will write it, whereas for 992.1 there are.

I don't need videos, I make the tools the tuners use to tune the cars.
