I really enjoyed following the build and transport of my car to the US and thought that TYD was a real asset to the buying experience. Now that my car has been here in the US at the port of Baltimore since last Monday 7/28 and there is no real detail of why it is still sitting at the port nor any information whatsoever as to when it will get to my dealer (it indicates 7/30), what I thought was a great marketing asset has turned into a marketing liability in my opinion.

Evidently the dealer is not supposed to contact the port Porsche folks so the only thing they know for sure in terms of location / schedule is when it rolls into their parking lot. They can tell me that it appears mine has passed the port PDI but have no idea when transportation will pick it up and deliver it. My dealer is trying to help but this it pretty poor.

If it were my company, I would kill TYD until I got all the bugs worked out of the entire delivery process.

Just got the call from my dealer my car has been released from the port! I will be picking it up on Monday

Got an email from my dealer. Car just rolled off the truck and should be ready for pickup tomorrow or saturday.

My happiness for both of you is unfortunately exceed by my extreme frustration that my car has been at a port 133 miles from my dealer for the past 8 days and doesn't seem to want to move.

In all sincerity I hope that you both enjoy your new rides!

I spoke too soon. When I asked about the recall, etc. the salesperson said they'd look into it. I pinged again and now they are waiting on a part :-/

Curious did you add any strange e-charging options? It appears my peers have left port while I am also still stuck. It may be a logistics transportation scheduling thing (waiting for more vehicles to transport).

Mine is pretty basic .... but I am very happy to report that mine has finally reached the dealer's lot. Scheduled to pick it up on Tuesday afternoon - although it will have a stationary steering column and I only get one key fob until some chips free up and head my way.....

I picked up my 4S yesterday. Hours later, I received an update from TYD that the vehicle was in transport to the dealer. The bottom line is that maybe your vehicle is on its way?

I guess since it isn't a noted problem --- on the other hand, I have no idea what the sun sensor does and whether it is associated with some special option or not...

Well my salesperson told me nothing about it at first. It wasn't until I asked about the recall that all of a sudden we need a part.

At least you got a time frame. I couldn't even get one. Just that they'll let me know ASAP.

based on the great intel on this site, I asked my salesman when my car hit the boat what was NOT done on it. The only two items were the steering and key fob, he confirmed mine did not have a sun sensor issue. Have no idea why it did not, but thankful I did not have any shortages that would create a stop sale.
