inconsistent diffused ventilation vent position?

have any owners out there noticed the Diffused ventilation by default (i.e. after turning on car) pointing the left middle directly at the driver?
I usually prefer the air to not be blown directly at my face... if i tap "Focused" then tap on "Diffused", it points the left middle vent up like the right middle vent. I want the left middle vent to point up without me needing to tap anything.

Is this setting through the optional climate control (or is built in) ?

didn’t realize this was an option… it’s just the screen I see when I tap the “A/C” soft button
