Last weekend to make decisions here. I'd appreciate any feedback as I'm picking between options. I opted out of Olea as I didn't find anything substantial over full leather. I also want a darker leather and from what I can understand Olea is a bit lighter. I've also decided to get RAS (as I live in the city and maneuvering in tight spaces is a gift). So here are the options that I'm choosing between. I can't get all of them :(

1) ACC @ $2,050
. keeps option open for Innodrive and AKl. I don't use cruise control but I'm intending on going cross country with this car. I do drive NYC - BOS or NYC-DC very often. I also think with a 2050 investment, I leave an option open for Innodrive if it ever becomes good enough.

2. Remote Park Assist @ $1,610
I'm terrible at parking but that's also because I was driving a cayenne and a Range Rover earlier. garage isn't self park so I won't have to deal with that. I'd rather park the farthest in a parking lot so I usually don't get stuck in different situations. It's not so much getting the car in there as much as it's - I don't want someone to hit my car because I'm so close.

Does this option give more views - 3D views, sensors, etc. Like does having this system make my parking skills more informed. Is there a lot of latency if you use it ? I assume that if I don't get this, as part of premium package I'm still getting Surround view and LCA. How is surround view vs 3D surround view ? Do any of these things already exist in 4S

Remote-Controlled Parking, Active Parking Support, Lane Change Assist (LCA): (this I would have), 3D Surround View, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Exit Warning, Maneuvering Assist:

3. Passenger Display @1130
(I like the option of displaying a map and I usually don't drive with fellow passengers) but I like the cockpit look. If you switch off the display, do you still see the blue screen tint or it appears black as if there is no screen. What do you see if you have it switched off ? And can you have the screen on even without a passenger.

Lastly, I could ditch these and get the performance package.

4. Performance Package @ $2990

I already have sports Chrono, electric sound and RAS. So by getting the package @ 2990, I'm getting both PTV+ and PDCC. I also have the White PSSB brakes because I wanted the mission e tires. I'm not a track person but I wouldn't mind checking it out. I do drive fast when I can. I do love the thrill and I'm wondering if having the performance package makes everyday city drive better, especially with the 21" wheels.

Would love thoughts :)

I’d definitelly go for #4. Imo, PDCC and PTV is must have.
i also took #3, imo, cockpit looks better.

i couldn’t say don’t buy #2, but i didn’t.
#1: hard to say, I took it since i found it useful on my previous cars (and i skipped innodrive).

hope it helps, good, luck with your order :like:

get tech package which will give you #1, #2, and #3 for $4300 (plus HUD) AND definitely add #4 (2990 is a good deal for PDCC and PTV+)

Performance package is automatic, for me!
The rest were all ones I mulled over like you, and ended up choosing….none of them! Haha
Full disclosure, I have not gotten my car yet so can’t comment on whether I miss not ordering any of them, but feel 110% confident in my decision after agonizingly researching and contemplating the decisions. ??‍♂?

Thanks. I’m also leaning towards Performance package and leaving out the rest. Or maybe add ACC. Do you think the PTV+ and PDCC are options worth it, even if I won’t track. My understanding is they make a better drive, esp PDCC regardless of speed. Let me know what you think

Yeah, I think they are if you’re someone who really likes their twisties, and more sports car like performance attributes! It’s a very heavy and large vehicle, and my understanding is that these options help make it feel much more nimble and agile. Closer to a 911 experience in handling (don’t beat me up, I said “closer”) haha
Also, since Porsche is known for their feats of engineering, I want to take advantage of getting to experience all they have to offer in that vein, even on a Sunday drive…

I'm getting RAS, Sports Chrono and the electric sound as requirements. I also have the PSCB brakes with the white calipers because I wanted the mission e wheels ( and because I love the full view of chrome brake disks against a white caliper). In addition, I'll add ACC. This one, only to keep the option of Innodrive open and to maybe use on the cross country trips. Not for daily use. I won't get the park assist.

Here's my big question: For $2,990 would you get the (PDCC sport and PTV+). Would having a performance package added at this price, adds to the car value. I don't plan to sell. If I take this to track ever - are these a must on a 4S. For those who have experice with these 2 options, would my driving experience be enhanced in any way on a Taycan? Or will I only see a value if I take it to track (which might not be more than once a year). I read mixed reviews about PDCC (and that it makes the ride on bumpy roads, better too. That of course is NYC streets.)

Thanks again, for all the help :)

Very nice option!
I'm speccing mine out with PDCC and I don't ever plan on tracking it.
The streets of LA are bad too, so even an incremental improvement in ride comfort, I'm all for it.

Agreed with @Mr.Smith ; as someone said: with pdcc, it stands on the road like a train.

Yes, comes out expensive and I also don’t like the hood on top of the instrument cluster, that HUD adds
