Hello everyone, new to the forum. This is my first posting, so forgive any inaccurate terminologies.
The Taycan was purchased in June and has spent about 3 weeks cumulative in the shop. This posting is specifically about the parking camera display issue.
During a road trip, whenever the parking/ camera is displayed the screen will flicker/ flash including the lower half of the screen blanking out. This occurred regardless of cycling the power of car.
Bringing the car to the dealer for service seems to make issues disappear.
After 2 days at the dealer they were able to reproduce the problem, however the part takes 3 weeks to become available. Thankfully the issue "resolved" itself during the time the car was returned to me while I waited for the part.
Here are the particulars of the resolution.
- replaced the Park Assist Control Unit also known as the Control Unit for Driving (PAD907117A)
- reprogram Surround View Camera Control Unit
- reprogram Front Camera
The entire process take a few days due to having to calibrate related systems as well as the lack of Taycan techs available to work on it.
I have other issues with the car with the above issue being the only one that has actually been reproduceable and hopefully resolved permanently.
Thoughts, opinions?
Regards to all.
