  1. GTS Ride Quality with or without Active Ride

That certainly works, but it's an extra £6K …
  2. GTS Ride Quality with or without Active Ride

Here's an illustration of the problem:- 1. GTS with "Basalt" club leather and Neodyme accents:- 2. Black Edition with same Club Leather; only dark accents:- 3. Black Edition with Smooth Leather; "Dark Silver" accents available as a zero-cost option:- Not sure if one can retrofit the...
  3. GTS Ride Quality with or without Active Ride

Sadly not. With the "Black Edition", choosing the Club Leather means that you're stuck with the dark trim elements; you can't even choose the "Dark Silver" alternative - it's very restrictive. Switching to the "Smooth Leather" then the "Dark Silver" becomes an option (bizarrely); but the...
  4. GTS Ride Quality with or without Active Ride

Thanks! That makes life much easier :) . The only problem now is that the Black Edition doesn't give me the Neodyme accents to go with the Club Leather :crying:. Yes, I know they're a bit "bling" but I need something to brighten up a dark interior. First-world problems!
  5. GTS Ride Quality with or without Active Ride

That's helpful - thanks! Especially since I have a chance to finalise (yet another) build tomorrow. The ongoing question: GTS with PAR or 4S with PAR…
  6. GTS Ride Quality with or without Active Ride

…and with regards to ride quality, unfortunately these were on different test routes, so I can't really answer my own question about whether the GTS Active Ride tuning makes the ride firmer or harsher. The non-Active Ride car rode pretty well. Yes, I could feel the road - in fact, I could feel...
  7. GTS Ride Quality with or without Active Ride

Some quick feedback - more about the steering than the Active Ride (sorry). I have now been able to drive two J1.2 GTS cars with and without Active Ride. Both cars had:- • Rear-axle Steering • Torque Vectoring They differed in the tyres:- Active Ride GTS:- • Dynamic Package with Pirelli P...
  8. Buy now or wait for next-generation car?

If they announce this (perhaps today?) does that mean we should buy the car now, whilst it’s still available - or sit on our hands waiting for some future product?
  9. Steering Wheel Paddles Live on Configurator

I hope this isn’t a ominous signal in advance of the Investors’ Meeting tomorrow…
  10. Steering Wheel Paddles Live on Configurator

As I said, this was an option on the GTS. The car I drove had the left paddle set up to switch between the different regen modes: off, auto, weak, strong… The right paddle activates more power “attack mode”. I was told they could be reprogrammed. Unfortunately I can’t get into the configurator...
  11. Steering Wheel Paddles Live on Configurator

Nothing new, I’m afraid. This has been an option on the GTS for a while. Paddles can be configured to control regen. I test drove a GTS last month with this. RaceTex only.
  12. AMG electric Fastback - June reveal.

It's actually remarkably similar - with added "bling" - to the new CLA series (electric 250+, etc.). The dashboard is virtually identical, apart from the middle screen being tilted towards the driver. At least the seats look a bit more plush.
  13. GTS Ride Quality with or without Active Ride

Great video - but absolutely atrocious spelling!!!
  14. GTS Ride Quality with or without Active Ride

Sounds perfect for my local roads then :like:
  15. Buy now or wait for next-generation car?

I think that's going to be MY27, and I'm happy to give that a miss. It's the potential new battery tech that's of more interest to me (plus changes to the PCM, perhaps similar to the new Cayenne?).
