No. They were unable to update my old one – not sure why – and so they ordered me a new one. But Porsche has put a hold on the new software so they can’t update the new one so that I can have it.
I’m in agreement with you. There is no way that this engineering for the plug to point away from the device rather than towards the wall is what Porsche intends. I feel like it is a cheap knock off version. Didn’t say Porsche anywhere on the new extension.
Sorry, Dave. Maybe your hybrid charger was different. The factory original one that came with the 2033 Taycan had the plug pointing towards the wall. The new replacement one has the plug pointing away from the wall.
So I plug it in facing the wall so as not to have to twist the cord and this is the error message I get. It is 80 degrees outside.
What charger do you have?
That plug faces the wall. My prongs face outward. Pretty sure I know how to insert a plug in a receptacle.
Anyone have a new charger cable from Porsche? The plug on mine points away from the wall, and they’re trying to tell me that it is OK to twist a 220 V cord to make it fit. And they replaced it because they were worried about causing fires?
