Those people are driving the wrong car. Even the Taycan PCM on the new Cayenne is nothing compared to what other car makes have.
In that case you should find a car with the biggest possible ipad stuck to the dash, who cares about everything else ;)
So let's see...
J1.2 got:
1. Bigger much more powerful battery.
2. Much more efficient HVAC system.
3. Optimized aerodynamics
4. 30% more range
5. PPE rear motor, with huge power/torque boost and ability to deliver it down to 20% SoC.
6. Redesigned exterior
7. Active ride
8. New, better air...
Good I guess. I never use the infotainment anyway beyond the Android Auto.
But since every new year they change something this kills the resale value of the older cars more and more. I guess you would not expect any different from Porsche anyway :)
Very minor changes overall.
The WLTP is just because they put lower rolling resistance tyres on it.
Infotainment update is nice I guess... e-shift not for me, but maybe someone will like it.
I wonder if the infotainment gets again different hardware for 2027, or if it is just a software update.
So if you compare it power wise to a Turbo without PAR it's about 25% cheaper.
I don't know how it drives, but charging speed is a bit faster than the J1.2 (but larger battery, so overall it's ~same), range is better and there's a lot more room inside...
Realistically the Taycan now has actual...
You still don't understand how the regen works on a Porsche. How are you going to "coast down the hill" exactly with the lift-off regen off?
That's gonna be some crazy speed without touching the brake pedal no?
So you're going to touch the brake and that's going to give you exactly as much...
I'm gonna go test drive that thing, I love the design, it's so damn pretty.
I expect it to drive nothing like a Taycan with PAR, but it just looks so cool. Just need to convince the mrs somehow that she should daily that thing :P
You're wrong, because regenerative braking is around 60-70% efficient, and because on Porsche pressing the brake pedal does not engage the physical brakes until you're well into it. So by using the brake pedal you're always regenerating exactly the amount needed.
Again, it's not a tesla. You're...
It's not counter intuitive, regenerating is lossy. Most efficient is to coast and regenerate only when you need it - meaning using the brake pedal or the auto mode.
Having it regen all the time - the driver is human and makes mistakes, so you end up doing a bunch of regen that isn't needed and...
