Did a little photoshop comparison to get a better idea how the kit might look on Purple Sky w/black wheels. And one with painted fender flares. I thought I'd prefer the painted flares better but the CF version is growing on me.

Now can be configured through Porsche for 2027

I assume they hope to sell loads of these, otherwise i can't wrap my head around justifying the cost of development and testing of this kit - when there's a few hundred GTs sold, and would assume most won't go for it... so let's say 10-30 kits sold at 80k? And also the cost of homologating it to be able to sell it straight from factory.

The millions they spent developing this could have probably been spent on improving the aero of the base car - maybe a real diffuser instead of a plastic radiator looking thing in the rear

Agree, it's not really to sell, just to show off what Porsche is capable of doing. That said I think the Chinese at some point will overtake Porsche on the nurburgring

Well that makes it a lot easier to visualize! Looks great on the configurator, and it makes sense they would add the kit as an option from the factory since I imagine few will be retrofitted.

I had hoped Manthey would have included something like the e-shift as part of their kit but now it's an option for 2027. I'm going to be a bit envious of that feature since I'm all for adding immersion.

I think it’s also cheaper to do it from factory than to do it as an add-on to your current car. It’s a $130k option just for the hardware right now.

Exactly right. They linked it from the trunk lid to the CF reinforcement bars in the trunk
The ducktail was removed ducktail in order to PPF it. I wonder if Manthey used the section under the hole to screw for that reinforcement piece to secure the trunk?

They also use double reinforced the bigger wing brace. The is the original
