I have the wood trim with the Olea Black/Beige two-tone leather interior. I love it and would do it again in a heartbeat. I can take some pictures for you if you'd like.
It was my understanding that CarPlay uses wifi to transmit data, not bluetooth. So in theory, when Apple enables lossless audio, you can take advantage over CarPlay. I don't think we'll know the actual answer for a few weeks.
Here's a thread that discusses CarPlay and lossless audio that I...
I pay $797 per 6 mos., so roughly $1600/yr. on my Taycan. I’m also in PA. However, it’s hard to compare Progressive to Progressive even in the same state without knowing how much coverage you have, whether your car is garaged, your zip code, etc.
Whatever you do, as a PA policy holder, please...
You can’t navigate on both systems at the same time. If you have a destination set on Waze and then add a destination through the car, Waze will stop. Don’t know why that’s the case, but it is. Same was true on my last Mercedes.
On a slightly related note, I’ve always had the theory that you can judge someone’s age by the volume and length of the grunts they make when trying to get in and out of sports cars.
I didn't even notice that. I think it just says that when the car turns on for the first 10-15 seconds while it acquires the satellite. I had no problems with Sirius on that ride (or any other).
I just realized that the arrow to the left of the map is a compass. So long as you aren't in "north up" mode, the arrow moves and always points north. Just realized this today. Not sure if this was always the case, or only after getting the update done. Either way, a hidden feature to me.
I tried auto-recuperation on my morning commute for the first time today. Kept the power-meter in the display so I could see what it was doing. Thought it was pretty cool. Basically the car coasts when no one is in front of you but then automatically brakes as you close the distance on a...
Press the icon in the bottom left that looks like a square with three horizontal lines next to it. That will bring up the home screen. Press it a second time and you'll see all of your apps.
I'm about 2 weeks post update in a 2020 Taycan and just had this happen for the first time this morning. All favorites gone. I'll be curious to see if this is a common issue and if any fixes exist.
What a great post @Kingske! I've had my Turbo S for about a month. I've done launch control a handful of times. No words come out of my mouth, just uncontrollable giggles like a little child. Then my stomach comes back down out of my chest and I giggle some more.
It's not scientific, but...
FYI, the Apple Music crash in CarPlay appears to be a CarPlay issue, not a Porsche issue: https://9to5mac.com/2021/05/18/apple-music-app-crash-carplay-ios-14-5-1/
@SteveDC you'll be golden in DC. The 95 corridor, 270, 66, etc. all have a ton of high speed charging options. As @thecoloradokid said, it really makes a huge difference where you live. I'm about 2 hours north of you and my first road trip was to Richmond. I could have stopped to top off...
Nice write up and very helpful. Mirrors my first roadtrip down to Richmond almost exactly. The Porsche Charging app is completely unintuitive, and I couldn't figure it out the first time either. Once you know how to use it though, no problem. I still find having the other apps, especially...
Where'd you get all-weather mats that fit? I searched for OEM all-weathers but couldn't find them (could be user error). Do you have a link? I might be interested in your carpeted mats also. I'm only a little over an hour away depending on where in Chester Co. you are.
Will someone please post the answer soon? I've been updating this thread from the back seat of my Taycan for two days now, yet still no answer, and I'm running out of water....
