I do realize that the EV's are LiIon and not LiFePO4, but I'm interested in the cell voltage range use for each brand. That would allow us to compare apples to apples.
I'm interested in what Porsche uses for 0% and 100% cell voltages (and especially compared to Tesla.) Both the Model S and Taycan both use very similar battery chemistry and construction, but i suspect Porsche is far more conservative. I have a two large banks of LiFePO4 that I run from 2.75v...
i believe the whole car (including cladding) was wrapped. That deep purple isn’t a color the Taycan comes in outside of PTS (and Viola metallic is darker than this).
The Off Road Design Pack defaults to another 10mm or ride height, so I wonder if one has it they might consider a little more drop. @bsclywilly has 2.5 more MM in the front to bring his ORDP down in the front from your measurements, but his ORDP runs 10mm more height in the “medium” default...
That looks perfect. I’m really excited for the arrival of the car so that I can get started. I’ve already started by building the suspension links and painting the plugs. Thank you for being such a helpful test case.
These were the "flat" colored arches that they painted? I assume they didnt need to sand off texture or whatnot. They probably took some primer for sure.
Thank you so much! I just straight up ordered everything you listed. I was surprised but happy they had Mamba Green touch-up paint. Now I have to return these clear corners for sedan corners (which I initially almost mistakenly ordered).
I understand. I've used a number of progressive off-road bumpstops.
One thing to note that each inch of travel of an air -bag/spring is a greater portion of the remaining volume. All the air bags that I've used have created a progressive rate. The last couple of inches of an airbag travel...
One has to expect that an air spring will grow in effective spring rate as it is compressed (logarithmically, I think).
The roads around the Bay Area are some of the worst "highways" in the west. I have often claimed that if I was relocated to it, I'd daily a Raptor on 37s.
For many of us with both the gravel package and the desire to roll as low as the car won't scrape, just setting the quick buttons won't work in to get us as low as we want. With the sedan links and the individual drive modes and diamond quick settings I expect it will be much easier. I don't...
Here in Oregon, we are allowed 6 characters on custom plates. Realizing there's no really good way to write VLTS WGN with 6 characters left me feeling sad and that living in Oregon finally has a down-side.
What are your favorite custom plates for a Cross Turismo?
I'm looking forward to the sedan height, and I have bought the parts to build my own links at sedan length, but I do value dealer support when things seem to go wrong (and on the Taycan, thats a bit more of a liability than for other P-cars). I have validated that the air springs used in the CT...
Did the ride get any worse with the lowering links? I did the research to find that the air springs are the same sedan-to-wagon, but the shock absorbers are different and may limit upward travel in the CT to make room for extension/droop.
