I thought this image of your ‘ misson E’ was floated as an image of the production Taycan by Porsche in their teasers release?
Are those front guards not mirrors we see sticking up above the rear fenders?
Raek, get one of your computer mates (or if you haven’t got any) someone you know, to transpose the Taycan headlights and air vent slot on to a Panamera image
Hopefully this would allow you (if ‘your’ not too narrow-minded) to see the similarities fellow members have suggested
By the way, did...
Still looks photoshopped
But it’s looking sooo good
If I were over there I couldn’t help myself, I’d be poking my finger through the tape/wrap at the
(Is it called) ‘C’ pillar junction?
And even better, those hips are going to look just that wee bit wider again (at reveal)
I went to my local dealer today
His advice is the turbo S is the first model out
That would be the case worldwide you’d imagine
So at least that’s some consolation (if it turns out to be true)
I agree with your comments entirely, people however see different things when they look at an object
As they say, ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’
That’s when the term ‘trained eye’ comes into play
The sketches look similar from an engineers eye but (I would suggest) from a...
It makes you wonder if any of the cars are actually black
There might be a full wrap on all of them (plus black tape/packing to hide the lines)
eg. the rear bumper, (judging by other prototypes) has not just tape but black wrap and tape
It’s crazy how the look of the car changes dramatically...
Don’t give up hope on that one
There’s something weird going on in almost all the rear shots (really funny lines) constant camouflage tape at the rear pillar/guard junction
Lack of video footage , close ups etc etc
Deflections and bad joints in a lot of places around that vicinity in a lot of...
Sorry, it was an attempt at humour (something a Porsche official said about easily identifying the Taycan from the Panamera)
I personally don’t like the ‘interpretation’ of the E wheels
But I have to admit the car is starting to grow on me again
Even the colour black looks pretty good
Yes I agree, these wheels will be standard on all 3 trims so it will be a defining feature and when the red tape comes off the the rear light area then the average person will be able to tell the difference between the Taycan and the Panamera
Hi The Snape
I’ve been a bit bored so reviewing old posts
I finally see the point you were trying to make here
I think your right if you believe the integrated spoiler has survived the cut, not due to the sketch, as you say the sketch is just at the wrong angle to get a clear view and appears...
Don’t quite understand your reply
The suggestion was to remove the cavity where the ‘foot well’ is (so no reduction in battery) and cut out an equivalent amount of door and roof panel thus reducing weight
Auto pilot would be just another name for park assist (not too wanky)
It looks like the mission e, but aren’t those rear view mirrors? (my screen is pretty blurry)
Might get back on the roller coaster
PAG is caught in the middle, but it was/is always going to be awkward for him
Probably upset a few Porsche enthusiasts here but....
Is anyone wealthy enough out there to consider chopping the ‘foot well’ out of the Taycan floor and shortening the car to a coupe version?
The roof could be reasonably aligned if it’s centre (above door pillar was removed a similar amount)...
I agree
It would be way easy to let them away with say one or two maybe three .... but five, six or SEVEN best features
For me it’s
1. Doors (later confirmed not in) but
Necessitating standard look central pillar
2. Wide rear/front guards
3. Subsequent serious recess/dish to...
I’m of the same thinking
The conformation in a recent post by PAG-J1 that the just posted renders from an auto mag were ‘so close’ to the production model has put me out of my misery
It’s been a roller coaster ride since putting down my deposit
I don’t need a 4 door family sports car either, I...
