Here’s a video of the unloading of a roll on roll off ship.
My CT 4S is (was?) on the Cicero. My dealer (Porsche of Nashua, NH) thinks they’ll have the car ready for delivery next week. I am beyond excited.
No, I’m not sure. My ship tracker hasn’t updated its position since the 16th and shows it in the mid-Atlantic. TYD shows it in the channel. Although the dealer said it was docked it they could be wrong.
I’ve been posting on the December delivery thread but Porsche of Nashua NH just called to say the Siem Cicero has docked in Davisville Rhode Island with my CT 4S on it and that it will be ready for delivery next week - so November delivery!
My dealer just called to say the Siem Cicero has arrive in Davisville Rhode Island with my CT 4S on it and said the car will likely be ready for delivery next week. That actually makes it a November deliver a couple of weeks ahead of time.
I believe it’s because of prevailing winds. These roll on/roll off ships have a pretty high profile and avoiding steaming into a headwind can save a lot of fuel. Heading back east they benefit from a tailwind.
My 2022 CT 4S is on this voyage. It’s due in Rhode Island Monday.
I am using an iPad Pro and have four images. I haven’t had to jump through any hoops. I just clicked on “Discover current phase” and scrolled down to a section called “Paint Shop” it had an image of my car and hovering over it gave a pop up to download a hi-res image. There are left and right...
I just got a notice that my CT was completed July 25. The VIN indicates it’s MY 2022
They included a downloadable photo that is supposedly my car on the line. All the options I can make out are correct.
I put my deposit down in May. The dealer had a build slot for a CT 4S in July that they let me have. Porsche just assigned a VIN number which my dealer said was right in line for a July build date.
I went with the standard interior. There were other things more important to me than leather that...
Here in Massachusetts you can (but don’t have to) get an EV plate that allows HOV lane use, preferred parking and meter free parking. It can be a conversation starter when folks notice the plate on a Porsche.
I ordered my CT 4S after test driving a 4S sedan. That drive told me all I needed to know and I’m confident any difference in performance/handling will be insignificant to me. I already knew I wanted a CT, but sitting in the back while my son drove reinforced that decision. The headroom was a...
Personally, I like the way the rails look. I kayak and ski and use roof mount systems for those. I also have a roof box and, while I don’t use it often, when I have needed it it’s been great to have so the rails were a must.
I’m a fan of it myself. I actually do take my CT off road. I’m a kayaker and some of my favorite spots would be inaccessible without the extra ground clearance. The remapped torque distribution has kept me going twice now in low traction spots.
Sure it would be nice to have 300 + mile range, but I find ~250 mile range just fine, and am honestly OK with anything over 200. Most of my driving is closer to home than that and the car is always charged and ready to go. Here in northeastern US it’s hard to average 50 mph and my kidneys can’t...
When I purchased my CT 4S they gave me a right of first refusal to sign. If I decided to sell writhing the first year of ownership they have the right to buy it for what I paid for it. Might be worth looking into.
