I too have a '22 Taycan GTS. Warranty expires today. I have 36K on my car. I ended up buying the 7 year, 85K mile extended warranty for a little over $5,000. My local dealerships quoted me 2K more on all levels of extended warranties. If anyone wants to get and EW you have to call Kelli Parker...
Yes. I definitely see the value of the car. It is an amazing piece of machinery. The app is basic and offers basic functions. I don't see much value in it, and the little value I do see in it I feel should be included in a $150,000 vehicle.
True again. For me it is a principle thing. With how expensive this car is I think it should be included. Especially considering it is just basic shit they are offering. I obviously can afford it, but I don’t feel like I’m getting taken advantage of.
Yes, you are correct except in my opinion the services offered and the user interface of the app isn’t high end. It is pretty basic and not that well designed. It isn’t a $300+ a year app. So if they are spending all of the money you laid out to produce what they are producing they need to go...
I totally agree. My ‘22 GTS is my first Porsche and I just hit my 3 years a week ago. I went to see some stuff in my car through the app and found out basically all functions are gone. Porsche wants $320 a year to do basic shit on the $150,000 car. That is pretty weak in my opinion from Porsche...
It has happened to me a lot. My dealership had to replace my door handles which kinda sucks because I had to wait for them to arrive from Germany. Also the dealership had to paint them carrera metallic white which, of course, doesn't match the original paint perfectly. After a few years it still...
Thanks Vim. My buddy has an OBD reader. I will do what you say and see whats up. It just seemed very sudden with zero changes in temp or drive history. I got new tires about 2 months prior to the sudden drop in range so I don't think that is it. We will see. Thanks again!
I have a '22 GTS sedan. From day one 100% battery yielded 240-242 miles of range. Not great but workable because of how awesome the driving dynamics are on the GTS Taycan. For context the car currently has 23,000 miles. For the first 3 years I've owned the car I didn't really notice any battery...
I would put on the 21 in RS spyder wheels in black immediately. I think you can actually spec the car with the satin black on those rims when before I think one could only get them on the GTS. Rims make or break the look of a vehicle IMO. Good luck!
The bonus to going with the dealer and having them replace your windshield under an insurance claim is you get a free alignment out of the deal which is a few thousand dollars by itself. They have to realign the wheels and sensors when the windshield is replaced.
Yes. I paid $2,600 because everything in the Bay Area is more expensive than other places. I’m pretty sure a custom job would have cost more. When they don’t use pre cut pieces I believe they use a lot more film, and film gets wasted. I’m not an expert but that is what I think. It takes longer...
Yes. There are a few stations that Tesla has opened up to all cars. There is only 1 located in the whole Bay Area. It’s in Scott’s Valley. It was pretty seamless when I gave it a try.
Pre cut vs custom job. How much did you pay for your PPF? You also need to account that the custom wrap would have been more expensive. I’ve had my GTS precut PPF for 2 years now and I have had zero yellowing, zero lifting, and zero issues. The chances of a rock hitting that corner are very...
A center console that doesn’t just flop at a 45 degree angle when opened. One that slides back so you can actually access inside of it. A wireless charger sleeve that you can actually use because it is located on the opposite side of the driver! And a back up camera that doesn’t look like it was...
