This morning mine jumped from #4 to #6 too, and the map shows it close to, if not at, the port. Yeah, arrival still says 2/27, but considering it was due to finish production 2/25 and that has apparently already been completed, I'm giving them some leeway in site updates. My delivery has also...
Those were my dates before the new site kicked in and it all got MUCH better. My dates even moved a bit since the pics showed up today, but that's fine. It's appears to be responding to real-time progress. I'm guessing if it's down for you you'll get the update soon!
Totally agree. I joke that I usually take the position, "If it's going to happen to someone, it'll happen to me" so I try to do as much anticipation of problems and attempt to mitigate them as possible. I'd just rather trust that Porsche will do their part as well in correcting issues, like...
Oh man, you had to tell me that! As if I didn't have a heart attack yesterday when I saw my car was in production after being delayed last week. Oh who's kidding, I was checking multiple times a day anyway!
I got clickbaited into that article too last week and it really irritated me. Not that I have any experience in maintaining an EV or a Porsche yet, but where are the sources of his information?? Especially for the Taycan. Some of his numbers come from a 5 year True Cost to Own from Edmunds...
That's amazing!! Since mine just started production I'm sure I'll have to wait a while, but I was right that they'd be incorporated into this new site design! Woohoo!!
I put out an SOS this morning on the production pics thread, but I'm sure people have better things to do than hack a webpage so I can see a pink car on the line ?. I'm being optimistic that with this nice new TYD design the production pictures might be incorporated into it soon!
I just...
I was nervous because I changed one small aesthetic right before the freeze (gloss black mirror trim) and the pic never changed and the online build sheet just had a bunch of codes which were correct from what I could tell, but you never know.
I really think this heater issue is gonna stick us...
When I click on "View my order" all the information is there, including all my build specs... which are actually all correct and the car pic now matches, whew. Commission number, VIN, etc. You probably just have to be a little further along in the process. My production was supposed to start...
Mine was a mess like the one above for about 3 days, and then magically this morning the new site appeared, along with a VIN! However, I can't Inspect the source for the manufacturing pictures anymore. Not that I'd think they'd be up yet, but I don't know how to incessantly check now. Any ideas?
Help! After a few days of having trouble loading the TYD site in Chrome (Safari worked), it just loaded and my car has a VIN!! I'm trying to inspect for the orders element and now I can't find it. There are soooo many more than there were previously. Are my eyes bugging out from excitement...
All these stories make me feel so fortunate that the dealership I'm purchasing from, 10 minutes from my house, has the best Porsche service reputation in the state. My SA has been selling Porsche for 22 years and is a true professional and enthusiast of the brand. I really hope my experience...
I agree, when he opened the door I had to rewind and watch it again. And then try to imagine my Paldao wood trim in there. I love it so much. In the showroom, when I brought my husband for a test drive (after having already put down my deposit) I showed him the color sample piece, and my SA...
Yeah, haven't scheduled the electrician yet, and we're using this as a good excuse to clean a lot of junk/old toys/inherited knicknacks, etc. out of there, plus a general cleanup and reorganization. Just waiting for the temperature to stay above freezing which it's starting to do :). I'm...
Thank you!! And I love the video! I wish I could understand more, but I did catch "Taycan" "Amazing" And "Is this not the most beautiful incredible car you've ever seen!?@?" Ok, maybe not the last one, but that's what I kept hearing over and over in my head :D.
But yep, that's my car, same...
I wonder why more people don't get the 21" Taycan Exclusive Design wheels? That's what I chose, both because I didn't want to be forced to pay for the super expensive PCCB upcharge, and I was inspired by the car show unveiling in my temp profile pic here. Admittedly, I didn't even know about...
