Maybe the woeful reliability, the red brick of death, HV charger/ heater failures, air conditioning failures, brake failures, steering vibration, the control panel resetting mid drive, and braking down 500m from the porsche garage after a repair have something to do with it? If I sound negative...
Thanks, Do you use regenerative braking?, I do so maybe this is wrong thing to do for the range. Without it i end up braking a lot and the brakes aren't good. I will try turning it off and see
if things improve
How do you guys get more than 230 miles? Even in Range mode with everything off I get 230-235. Beginning to think they didn’t fit the big battery! In winter I got 205, cold in Scotland, but in the 24 degrees of global warming I’m still only 235….
I just got he car back from the garage after the AC had failed, it needed to be re-gased and now needs a new air quality sensor. After that it needs the front brakes replaced as they sqeal badly, and are disturbingly poor at stopping at low speed. Should be a week to get the parts. The garage...
Hi, I have an intermittent vibration which comes and goes but is audible by the passenger and I can feel it in the steering wheel, is this what you experienced?
I had the full red version after 2 weeks. When I got it back it (after HV replacement)did it again. I put the key in a lead faraday box and it seems to stop it
I have the same problem but I’m putting the car in the garage as there is no way it is working correctly. It’s no different in Eco or Full AC mode. The chiller is basically not working. Yet another problem I have experienced in 6 months of ownership.
Since my car bricked after 2 weeks of ownership and spent weeks in the garage getting the HV charger replaced, it came back and bricked again which I seemed to solve with a screened key box, the brakes continue to worry me as they are dangerously unresponsive when slow moving and now the weather...
I feel your pain. Its the feeling that you love the car, but its got real problems. If Porsche would apologise and give some level of service you would feel loved, but instead you feel your loyalty is abused.
My car had further problems when i got it back but i use a shielded box for the key and...
took them 18 months to supply mine! when it came it broke down in 2 weeks bricked HV charger. When the AA man opened the bonnet to disconnect the battery a receipt fell out which said made in Ukraine... true story!!
I agree with MyA, I too have experienced this failure on first braking in the morning. The brakes do not stop the car. I now always brake hard at a low speed as soon as I leave my drive and it it seems to fix it. I read somewhere the taycan brake 'learn' what pressure to apply. There's a memo...
I'm super nervous now, I had the red brick notice and they fixed it by replacing HV charger and it appeared again when i got the car back and went away after 15 minutes so have no confidence it will not do the same to me again.
