My 2024 4S here also received the same update yesterday.
Sorely lacking in information on what this brings, as it feels like they don't owe us any explanation, just "this will take 3 minutes"
USD $157 + shipping, and almost sold out -- we are a unique bunch.
I use the Anker Qi2 cooled car charger, 3D printed a cup-holder mount, and clamped it into that.
I wonder what selection/sampling bias is in the data set. It's probably not a smooth cross-section of cars, like if you had a checkpoint and tested all Taycans on the road.
People running the software are probably either data nerds (hi!) and enthusiasts that want their car to be perfect, OR...
If you want it right away (US), then this cable worked fine for me:

I have no idea what the display shows, since it's facing the footwell, but the data works great with the awesome tcan app.
I wonder if we have different Costco towels. Mine are bright orange and leave a ton of lint. They simply can not be used wet at all. I see it most on windows, hairs everywhere. When Dry they seem to stay together and work fine for buffing, but with the sewn edge and tags, not the best.
I...
I get this warning when driving on smooth straight freeway without much drama. Both hands on the wheel, just not a lot of input. It happens about once a day.
It has never done anything adverse, just the pointless warning.
I believe it happens even without ALK/LKA enabled. (No assistive...
Is there a way to just "trust me bro" manually turn the preconditioning on?
I might be using Android Auto to route to the charger, or some reason the nav doesn't know about the charger, like new Teslas. Is Preconditioning really under exclusive PCM nav control?
You can always ask (for money off the car, a pony, or a dozen roses) but don't get your hopes up. A "Gesture" is likely a gift card for a sandwich, or half-off some mobile detailing service, or a Porsche key fob (Retail Value USD$55).
There's no way they are going to negotiate a track day or...
Depending on your weather, it might also just be sunlight warming the dark surfaces and making the visible water vapor.
I get this after washing the car sometimes, same as you might see steam coming from the road surface when the sun comes out.
2024 model (2023 build) new at 25% off is what I got on the 4S. I presume most of these are warranty-started by now, if not CPO. I'd have a look at that Turbo S.
It's such a strange feature to me. Would you unlock your car minutes before getting in? From afar?
The time between unlock and ON/Drive is so short it hardly matters, and can only cause problems when walking past the car.
This is the part I don't understand... as a buyer, I would prefer a New car over CPO. Why are dealers so eager to sell cars to themselves and resell them as used? As a buyer, this seems lower value to me than a new car.
Indeed there are. My 2024 4S was built in late 2023 and sold mid-2025 at a healthy discount, warranty punched in 2024 (still don't know why), not CPO, first owner, no loaner / delivery miles.
