I got full Expel 10 PPF with ceramic coating, they ceramic coated the wheels for free ($7.5K). It went straight from the dealership directly to PPF to avoid any rock damage. In Hawaii there's only one Expel authorized installer. The Expel warranty really works because they did my wife's Model...
Just picked mine up yesterday. I dropped it off last Thursday and since Porsche Hawaii service doesn't work weekends, I figured I wouldn't get it until Monday or Tuesday of this week. The only lingering problem I seem to still have is the foot wave to open the rear hatch 90% of the time...
Pressure and nozzle along with your key being so close might be the issue. I guess my wash setup is different where by I'm able to wash my car in my driveway. I need to correct my self on the nozzle degree I meant to say 40 degree nozzle not 4.0 degree. I'll try washing my care with my key...
Are you using an electric pressure washer? What size is the sprayer nozzle on the pressure washer. Ideally for washing cars you want to use a 3.5 or 4.0 degree nozzle anything less is too hard and the concentrated pressure could be what's causing it. If it's opening the frunk then I believe...
I pressure wash mine every weekend and have never had a problem with the charge port opening from the pressure washer. It has occasionally opened when I'm actually using the wash mitt and I accidentally brush underneath. I would say avoid having the key fob close to the car an also do not...
IMO the Porsche tire insurance is one of the best ones out there. Coming from BMW, their tire insurance can't touch Porches. BMW will not cover curb rash unless the wheel it self is damaged to the point you can't safely drive. Also you have to pay for the tire replacement in advance then get...
The best my installer told me was to use a product called Rapid Remover and a Q-Tip. I spray a little on the tip then work it back and forth on the area. It actually works.
I was referring to the second photo from the top. It could be just the reflection of the light but it appears to me like when they were trimming the film it scraped the edge. If that's the case I would ask the installer to look at it because over time it might start to peel and get debris...
Aloha,
I've had my last three vehicles PPFd. The edging is normally cut that way if there isn't enough of a gap between the panels to tuck it underneath. That's why they can tuck your hood/trunk/doors, etc because they can get access to the underside to tuck it. Around the fenders...
Cool, one good thing about the battery that Ash will tell you is that initially the 85% SOC will be in the 180ish area but the more miles you put on it the mileage improves. I have 800 miles on mine and now the 85% SOC is at 225 will probably go up some more. Congratulations you will love it.
I was at the dearlship
I was at the dealership today picking some back ordered accessories and I saw Grey CT4 in the showroom and thought it was yours but you said you ordered a 4s. The one in the show room has the lower body cladding which looks pretty nice.
For me it was something simple. Under the Profile area I didn't select the Preferred charge times and had the Optimized charging box checked so whenever I plugged it in it would immediately start charging. I think the naming convention can be misleading. My wifes Tesla app is a more simpler...
Aloha Everyone,
I was a little confused on how to set up a timer for my home charging. I also noticed a lot of other new Taycan owners had the same problem. I found this video of a young man that works at a Porsche dealership and he puts out good "how to" videos on all Porsche vehicle...
Aloha, yes I’ve test driven the Turbo, 4s, and RWD models here before deciding to place my order. The 4s had the rear shell steering and I could tell the difference not from a spirited driving point of view but from how I would actually drive in Hawaii. Going up parking garages in Hawaii has...
I know I’m late with doing this but shortly after taking delivery I went off island to the mainland for vacation…I know why am I leaving Hawaii to go on vacation. You have to live here to understand we do get island fever from time to time and need a change of scenery. In our case we went to...
