    Negative Attention

Well - a colleague of my wife, a high school teacher, told her, disapprovingly, "you can feed an African nation for the price of that car". Little boys often enthusiastically point fingers, their parents not so. And sometimes women wearing too much makeup stare dreamingly, with the subliminal...

Tyre scrubbing and juddering at full turning lock - only on 21" alloys?

In case the A. E. also involves a big 'CLUNK' sound coming from the front suspension when turning the steering wheel all the way in leaving a parking space etc, then I do experience this with the 20" rims. Started a few weeks ago, in colder weather.

First impressions of standard audio system (compared to Bose system)

Fair enough - I was just joking, not wanting to offend you at all. I am part of a family with many professional classical musicians spanning three generations, and also dislike the artificial 'Hollywood' type of bass heavy sound that many current systems seem to display. I add though that I am...

First impressions of standard audio system (compared to Bose system)

Frank would likely disagree with you - I guess hanging around those F1 cars must have seriously damaged your hearing. ;-) There should be a proper punishment for the 'designer' of the base system - it literally hurts my ears. Tinny, harsh, anemic, grating mids and highs, and a lack of lows...

    Tesla S v Taycan

Welcome! I drove a S75 (RWD, facelift) for five years. I absolutely LOVED that car. I did not reorder one though after its lease expired - I gradually lost all trust because of Tesla's declining service network, their repeated broken promises, continuing quality issues/buyer complaints, etc...

2022 RWD Taycan Performance Plus (93.4 kWh)

Same here - 3.8, my 'average' consumption, is something I almost never have achieved in individual trips, and over the past months with outside temperatures going down my trip consumption is consistently WAY higher. Still the aggregate consumption figure sits, and stays, at 3.8...

2022 RWD Taycan Performance Plus (93.4 kWh)

Dec 2021 RWD (2022 model), 20 inch Aeros, standard battery, 13,734 miles, average speed 27mph, 3.8 mile/kwH since last December (no resets done ever). As I noted before (and calculated by others based on actual driving data, as opposed to PCM data), the overall calculation figure is simply...

Strange fan/ticking noise during morning power-up

I have this issue as well since a few months, and posted about it in this thread: Whirring noise in PCM - any ideas on how to solve this? | TaycanForum -- Porsche Taycan Owners, News, Discussions, Forums I also see under 'similar threads' another one on this issue. I have not yet made a dealer...

I know another post about car mount, but this vent mount is good

I noticed that, and it makes sense for Porsche advising against this since some of these clamps are very rigid, and forcing those on could break the vent. The one I have is flexible though, I can fit and remove it quite easily with no harm done.

I know another post about car mount, but this vent mount is good

While I admire the creativity and ideas of other members, I found that most solutions are kind of clunky, or position the phone in an awkward place. So I went the cheap (Chinese) route, and it works at least for me: a small magnetic holder which is clamped to the left vent above the PCM console...

Whirring noise in PCM - any ideas on how to solve this?

Thanks much - the sound usually disappears after some time, but still think it should not be there. I will mention that when making the next dealer appointment, and see if and how this can be addressed, and report here.

Whirring noise in PCM - any ideas on how to solve this?

When starting up my car, there is a continuing whirring noise coming from the PCM. It has been there since a few months, and started during the hottest summer days. I have not yet contacted dealership about this issue, but suspect there may be a small fan inside the PCM that causes this (which...

How can I change my country flag?

Plus a humble request to change the German flag for me to the Dutch flag - thanks in advance!

271 miles! 100% charged. What’s your range shown?

Did you actually look at that spreadsheet by member Pozuelo? It's quite convincing stuff, which took him quite some time to assemble. FWIW - my reported average total after 8000+ miles is 2.7Kwh/mile, or 16.8 kwh/100km.. On most days/trips I will never achieve this figure.

271 miles! 100% charged. What’s your range shown?

Just to be clear about this, the member who made the spreadsheet and related calculations showing that the total average consumption figure as displayed is wrong, noted the following: "(...) only the total trip consumption is off. The rest is okay, the guess-o-meter and the current trip average...

271 miles! 100% charged. What’s your range shown?

At the risk of sounding like a broken record (a vinyl one, for the millenials): here is one member who calculates that the average total consumption figure is bogus, plus others sharing this same experience: My mathematical mind's intuition was right ! Our Taycan's consumption figures are way...

271 miles! 100% charged. What’s your range shown?

280 miles or 450 km, yes. I should add that we have a 100km/h maximum speed limit on the highways here, which I do not exceed (....), and I always use regen. Most of my travel is on highways BTW, acceleration is usually moderate. The PCM estimate after loading 85% is currently around 372km, or...

271 miles! 100% charged. What’s your range shown?

I disagree - in my experience the 'total trip' consumption figure as shown since day 1 is way off, or as others have said, 'a hoax'. See: (1) What’s your Taycan efficiency? | Page 9 | TaycanForum -- Porsche Taycan Owners, News, Discussions, Forums I have found that this displayed total figure...

    Innodrive System

I agree that the mechanical feedback could be more firm when using ID, including when it disengages. That would give much more a sense of security. What I also liked about the Tesla AP is that in bad weather conditions, such as heavy rain or at night on badly lit and winding backroads, it...
