It sounds like something somewhat similar is available if you install a BlackVue dash cam but it’s not as sophisticated as Sentry mode because I believe that uses all of the exterior sensors of the car.

The $130 pre-wire isn’t a big deal on the overall price of these cars. If you ordered the Porsche cam, I assume you can return it before it’s installed and pick up a FitCam or BlackVue.

It may be better to find someone who is handy with a 3D printer and have them custom made without the wires or drilling holes. You could even customize the size a little or add little details that the real ones don’t have. Something without the “wing” would achieve the same look.

Why does this Carmine Red look unbelievably amazing but the one I see around town looks so blah? If Porsche offered something close to the Tesla pearl red, I would have jumped on it but this is a close second from these pics.

There was a thread a while back with a post from a guy who works with satellites. IIRC, he said they have found that the biggest cause of battery life degradation is big draws and fast charging and long charging periods. More frequent charges from 60%-80% was better than 20%-80%, for example...
