I visited this site to inquire about the number of Supercharger locations with a status of Under Construction or Permitted. 500+ sites are shown on the USA map, but only two of the 188 sites (Phoenix, Denver) under construction have CCS capability. It's hard to believe that Tesla would not equip...
I don't think Porsche can successfully migrate to NACS until they change the location of the charging port to the Tesla position of left rear corner or possibly the front right corner. I remember struggling to get the relatively long EA cable to the front fender port on my Taycan CT without it...
My experience at EA DC chargers mirrored yours. The constant drama at EA stations is what finally led me to give up and trade-in my 2022 Taycan 4 CT. I was planning a 6600 mile Cross Country trip and decided it would be too stressful to do it in the Taycan.
I now spend half as much time...
Truth be told I miss driving her too. I don't miss fighting with the EA DC chargers though. I was planning to go down to the show when it opens, how did you get early access? Are you exhibiting?
I traded in my FBM Taycan 4 CT with 12K miles three months ago at a Philadelphia MB dealer (who also has a Porsche dealership). I got $88K for the trade which was $4K less than the trade-in offer I received two months prior from another dealer. The car was listed for sale with a CPO warranty at...
I agree that neither the EQS Sedan nor the BMW iX are going to win any beauty contests. But IMHO there is nothing wrong with the way the EQS SUV looks. "Personalized" may have been the wrong choice of words since I have not done anything to change the outward appearance of the car. So far my...
I sold off the last of my Taycan CT accessories so I don't have much reason to hang around the Taycan forum. All of the stuff went to forum members except the PMC+ since the forum members are better informed than eBay buyers. I have been busy personalizing my MB EQS SUV and posting the results...
I traded my 2022 Taycan CT4 with 12K miles on 29-Oct-2022. The dealer put it up for sale at about $11K over the original MSRP. Five weeks later the car is still on the lot and they are now offering it for $6K over MSRP. Here on the East Coast the demand for overpriced CT4s does not seem to be...
Tires still available. In order to use these tires your car either needs to be equipped with 19" wheels or you will have to acquire an extra set of 19" Taycan wheels. The 19" wheels are often available at a reasonable price on eBay since they are not the most desirable wheels.
If you change the breaker to 30 amps, and the outlet to a NEMA 6-30 or NEMA 14-30, and get the corresponding supply cable for the PMC+, then you should get a faster charge than running at 50% and still avoid overheating.
On my last 800 mile trip I called EA three times. The line was so busy that I never got beyond hold on any of the calls. I ended up moving from charger to charger until I found one that worked.
If you read the fine print you will find that the only cars that qualify for orders placed after 15-Aug are cars manufactured in the USA, Canada, or Mexico. MSRP or your AGI don't factor in until 2023.
If you had a 5% deposit on an order placed before 16-Aug-2022, then I would think you would still qualify for the tax credit even if Porsche had to start from scratch with a new production order and the car was delivered in 2023.
Thanks for reminding me about the back up camera that is put to shame by the one in the EQS. Actually, I wasn't worried about the Taycan burning down the garage. I should have been more precise and called out the ill-designed PMC+.
