@GasGuzzler Porsche doesn't subsidize their leases so that's why the rates suck. Financing is the way to go and the Taycan should hold decent resale value.
@GasGuzzler Those "$1,500 a month" deals are deceptive and consider only the base price with a down payment. You will also pay the full cost of added options over the course of the lease, so back to the original numbers you posted.
In fairness to Porsche, this is standard practice when...
As I always say, All Season tires are fine until they aren't. Modern winter tires are very effective without really much compromise, they're still fine in 50 degree weather.
Buying Winter tires effectively extends the life of your tires overall so you're really just paying the $400 or so a year...
I looked back at the other thread you referenced and I'm a bit confused by your "levels".
I'm 240V/16a on a 20a breaker, not 120V/16. Would you like me to list as level 2 or 4?
I use the ClipperCreek LCS-20.
Will then edit this post w/ charging info I collect tonight.
That's really not how being under one parent company works. Audi & Porsche are separate entities and can (and should) be attempting to one-up each other.
Also it's not as though Porsche didn't think about adding a third motor. It increases HP, sure, but at what cost & benefit?
The Turbo S is too fast. There, I said it.
I've mentioned before but I'm strongly of the view that you only get the Turbo S if it's the one you just have to have.
Outside of HP, you don't really get much going from a 4S to a Turbo S. It's faster but it doesn't drive better, have a nicer...
Actually it can be activated at ANY stop. Next time you're at a stoplight try pressing the brake fully to the floor and you'll see "Auto Hold" pop up and can remove your foot entirely. Any press of the accelerator will deactivate the brake and allow you to move.
It's actually super useful and...
Haha, don't worry about it. Most of us have done something silly with our Taycans.
Can't think of any reason it wasn't enabled from the start, mine was. However as I'm sure you've now noticed it does take a certain modulation of the brakes to activate auto hold. If I was to wager a guess, I'd...
The navigation is it's own issue which I described in the other thread. I've yet to experience a car with a decent Nav because it's not worth the development cost for car manufacturers when you Google Maps and Waze outclass anything they could build. There's just not going to be a better Nav...
I bought this for $15 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084GZYR4Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
It's not INCREDIBLY nice but it's still nice and fits/works perfectly. And, you know, it's $15.
I actually got it because I was accidentally opening my frunk/trunk sometimes...
I can't tell if you're joking or not. If not, I'm quite certain the same people that work on the internal PCM functionality and bugs don't work on stuff like this.
As @ron_b mentions, they have to be forward thinking while also improving the product they already have.
I know some people have...
You will be shocked. Ask to drive a Panamera Turbo first, a car that runs a claimed .8 seconds 0-60 faster than a Taycan 4S, and your mind will be blown.
