    DC charging

No, please don't misunderstand... You WANT to use an Electrify America charger. There is nothing wrong with them. They provide lots of power (unless they are not working at all). I don't know what part of the country you are in, but if anywhere on the East half they are your best source for...

Dear Porsche... (Center Console Lid does not stay open)

You do this while driving? Gulp... If you're "talented", you can keep it propped up with your right elbow while you blindly dig with your right hand... (This is for left hand drive vehicles. If you can do this while driving from the "wrong side" of the car I would be REALLY impressed! ;))...

    Where's the WiFi Menu?

So bluetooth for hand-shaking (credentials) and then WiFi for ongoing data transfer. I get it. Thanks! Do you know if this works in MY21 USA vehicles also? ...at least that would be something!

    Where's the WiFi Menu?

So the car acts as a CLIENT to the phones WiFi Hotspot? The car is the "client" and the phone is the "server"? As you surmise, this wouldn't require the car to serve up a hotspot at all! Sounds like you have it working... I guess this is only available in MY21? ...and also working in the...

    DC charging

Ok, I asked that in my second posting... (...whether you took it all the way to 100%) That also means my calculations (curiously confirmed) are rubbish... :( I think you should go out and do a controlled test to confirm you weren't sharing power with the car "next to you" (as @Scandinavian...

    Where's the WiFi Menu?

As I fully qualified (over and over): NOT IN THE USA IT DOESN'T! (You know, like where the OP is from?) This is very well known. Please prove me wrong. Please identify ONE Taycan in the USA where it provides Internet Access and I will stand down... Porsche doesn't even provide a data plan...

    Where's the WiFi Menu?

Has anyone confirmed that Wireless Carplay uses the WiFi hotspot in MY21 or is this also a promise folks are waiting for? Does it work for MY21 USA vehicles (or just Euro)? Cause the hotspot doesn't do anything in USA MY20 cars but kill your internet connectivity if you attach to it...

    DC charging

...additionally, if it took you 25 minutes to charge 40-100%, you might have been able to get out of there @85% in maybe 15 minutes. That last 10% takes a disproportionately long time... Most folks don't charge to 100% (even on a road trip) unless they actually need it. How much charge did...

    DC charging

Please work with us here... Basically, the whole community works in KW - not Mi/Minute... If 2.5 Mi/min equates to about 65KW (as my "WAG" SEEMS to confirm)... Then "I would expect my car to take about 250KW at 40%, taper to about 125kw @ 85%, and below 50KW after passing 90%" could be...

    150kW DC-DC converter option

Folks buy a very expensive EV like a Taycan and then want to save a few hundred dollars on a feature that actually adds to its EV capability?

    Where's the WiFi Menu?

You guys need to understand that the WiFi hotspot DOES NOTHING on USA vehicles. - It DOES NOT PROVIDE internet service for occupants (which it DOES in Europe if you pay extra) and - It DOES NOT RECEIVE internet service from external hotspots (your home). (That's simply not what a "HotSpot"...

    DC charging

28 / (25.3/60) = 66.4KW as your average charging rate is pretty close to my WAG (65KW)! :) I would expect my car to take about 250KW at 40%, taper to about 125kw @ 85%, and below 50KW after passing 90%. Did you take it all the way up to 100%? 25.3 minutes to fully top up your car (from 40%)...

    DC charging

"Gentle Charging"? What is "Gentle Charging"? In order to determine if you were getting a good charging rate we need to know the SOC (State of Charge) of your car when you hooked up. Also, I have no idea of what 2.5 Miles/minute is in KW. Most of us reference KW for the charging rate...

Dear Porsche... (Center Console Lid does not stay open)

Who the Fock designs any "box with a hinged lid" without thinking about how far the lid should open? I don't think there is any coil spring. Pretty sure its just a hinge... A coil spring might actually help something... I thought about adding a long torsion spring external to the hinge if I...

Dear Porsche... (Center Console Lid does not stay open)

I have Android auto in my GMC truck. Tried it once. Not for me. (I complain about a lot of things - hopefully valid - but I personally don't care that the Taycan doesn't have Android Auto...) I would rather use my phone as a second independent display for the additional functionality it can...
