This issue has now been acknowledged by Porsche as a significant issue affecting some Taycan owners. The OPC's (here in the UK at least) have been given some instructions in the last few days to attempt to resolve matters. It seems to be along the lines of a hard reset of the PCM.
This week the car has been with the OPC for 4 recall matters and to re-activate the HUD which stopped working. The fix for the HUD involved disconnecting the 12v battery so ….. been there done it already. They were unable to get it working and suggested de-activating the account which did not...
My last sync was 29 June. I have never had a connection issue before. Both apps work fine with our Macan. Have deleted the account from the car and cannot reload it. Now the subject of a ’ticket’ with the German technicians. Other LTE functions ie Google mapping Imagery works fine.
Thank you Neil - I did look for a thread but could not find one - I will change the units but hopefully they will provide an update to rectify the glitch.
My 2021 Taycan 4s has generally been glitch free. The odd start up where it misbehaves but on the whole okay.
One annoying issue that has never been resolved is to do with the trip computer. At 74miles into a journey the consumption resets to 0.0 m/kWh. Everything else continues to be recorded...
There is a fix apparently for the seats. Adjusting it slightly does stop it but it tends at least for me to occur when the seat is set low down. Very annoying. Unfortunately when I last took it to my OPC it was not creaking and they would not accept a video of it creaking.
I have had this happen quite a few times. What I have noticed was that it coincided with an OTA update. Not all like map updates but multimedia ones if I recall. I have not had this happen for about a couple of months now and the only updates I have had recently are map and calendar ones.
Not every trip but I also get this issue on long journeys. The miles/kWh generally start of as accurate but the at some point you get ridiculously low and inaccurate miles/kwh
Have you tried adjusting the headrest say to full out then back to where you want it.
I have the 14 way seats as well and sometimes they creak a bit but this is resolved by just adjusting the seat electrically a fraction.
Worth a go.
I get the error occasionally usually after I have just started the car. my Taycan has had the software update a few weeks ago and I think it has happened twice since then. I think it is a software bug and usually I can reactivate it by pressing the Active Parking Support icon in the bottom left...
I have just moved to Octopus and ran into the same issue. Paul Steinbruner’s video on You Tube suggests exactly as you have been doing until the software upgrade. A profile should work as you have set up - the desired initial % then up to 100% at the preferred charging times. I tried exactly the...
I am in the process of switching to a dual tariff electricity supplier so was trying to get my head around this area. I tried just setting a profile for the selected hours and whilst it said it would charge above the basic setting to 100% it does not seem to wake up and charge.
I will try the...
if the car remains plugged in for 30 mins after the expiry of the timer then apparently it will ignore the timer ceiling charge level and charge to 100%.
I have a 4s and mine will sometimes make a clunk when I lift off the brake. I have read somewhere that it can occur while the brakes are bedding in before regen becomes fully engaged as a braking source which apparently will start at around 500miles. I have only driven 420m!
I will see what...
Patch worked well. I am not familiar with Android and although I have a good internet connection and I know I am using the correct username and password it will not recognize my Google login details. Does anyone have any bright ideas?
Yes as W1NGE says the PIRM is worth a look at - the benefit especially for high power DC charging is that by the time you get to the charger especially in cold weather the battery will be conditioned using the heat pump to the ideal temperature to take the higher kw's.
The downside is that it...
Download the Zap Map app or look online. You can set the filters accordingly to 50kwh, 100kwh whatever you want including which suppliers you only want to see. It is free to use and the one I use the most.
