Looking forward to your report!
Have fun and enjoy winter!
ps. It would be appreciated if you could keep track of the consumption depending on battery temp/outside temp and avg speed/AC temp.
Thanks!
approx calculation gives me a capacity of 87,2Kwh.
Another difference I see in your pictures is the Average Speed, you seem to be in your example at 49mph and I'm more around 60-65 mph as my commute is mainly HIghway .
Oh well... we'll keep investigating and seeing how the car reacts during...
Exactly, that's why I posted this... and I see that I'm not the only one in this forum (mainly people from UK so far are seemingly having similar numbers) with apparently pretty high consumption. And I forgot to mention that in this specific commute I do twice a week, there is less than 1000feet...
All right everyone, so I did the experiment in the name of science and dressed up with multiple extra layers, gloves and tried to turn off the A/C but it would get too foggy after a few minutes so I set the A/C to Eco mode at the 18C (64F) , no massage, no heated seat/steering.
here are the...
Well you're right, it does seem pretty low to me too!
The figures @John89 posted are what I have become to realize will be the real world range in a ''sub artic'' climate, we have to accept it I'm afraid
Very nice drive!! Thanks for posting the info!!
One question: when say ''I did not turn on the heat'', what do you mean exactly?
Was A/C and fan completely turned off? If so , how come did you not get foggy glasses?
Thanks for being more being more specific
I can confirm, I also got level 2 ONLY with the Taycan 4S.
Bought a 3rd party Level 1 just in case I need it, because NEMA 14-50 can be pretty hard to come by on a road trip... Plus, it's a good backup just in case the PMCC breaks...
Sorry for the double post ...
Thanks for the report.
For comparaison purposes ,
Which mode were you using during your trip ?
A/C on/off? Eco?
Seat/ wheel heating ?
I will, for the purpose of science and report back next week... ;-)
But just so we're clear, it can easily get below -15C (0-5F) outside during weeks here in winter, so I don't intent to spend 3 months without AC/heater dressing up like Santa Claus in a Carmine red 150K $ sleigh...
Some more real world experience. I have a 4s, battery plus, 6,000 miles on the clock. went from Leeds to Mancherster airport last night so about 130 mile round trip mostly motorway. three people on the way there and four plus some luggage on the way back. temperature was about 9 degrees and...
PPF doesn't work but PPS will work.
Search thi forum for a specific thread about that.
You could ask @TAYC4N who did it if I remember correctly (Auto Forensics) and the result was impressive!
Too bad PPS is still quite new and not widely available (nothing in Canada so far...)
