Got the car delivered back. Haven’t had a chance to play with it yet but it seems ok. Apparently it didn’t throw a wobbly on the way here.
It does connect faultlessly with both the app and the website, for the first time in ages. That might be the replacement VTS module though. (Whatever that...
An email to the Porsche GB CEO seemed to spur them on a bit, it worked for me, although it could be a coincidence. Use words like disappointed, unhappy, etc. Lay it on thick
Edit, just looked at the app, which is working properly for the first time ever, and its all done and is on charge. It would be probably be ready after 1 day if they weren’t being cautious.
Well….
In total 4 weeks. But only 2 days of that for the WNJ8 update to VR19.0.1.
It was repaired after a comms fault (finally) 2 days ago and the WNJ8 recall popped up as they were checking it. So they installed it while they had it in. I was going to wait for a month or so to let them get...
Buy a coffee machine. Only kidding!
Yes it’s a pain, I have been without my car for over 3 weeks…..it’s a long story….. so I understand not wanting to be without it. But thankfully I have a couple of ICEs to use.
It looks like it’s me that’s going to be have the first installation of WNJ8 that Sheffield have done. I was expecting my car back today (after 3 weeks) from a comms fault but just been informed they are applying it now.?
I will let you know how I get on…
My car has been in the shop for 3 weeks with a connection fault, finally solved by replacing the comms module.
According to the dealer all the recalls showing on my car including the WNJ8 were applied while they had it. I don’t have it back yet so I don’t know if he is correct, nor do I know...
The rear luggage compartment is a boot in the UK, so we logically should call the front luggage compartment “froot”.
Err, no thanks. I’ll just call it the front, as in, “I store my charging cable in the front”.
Much more elegant.
Mine is still in the shop. Now waiting for a secondary tracker so I can use it. Been told another delay of 10 days before that can be done! I think I’ll put a deposit down on a Lucid and move this half baked car on.
Thanks. Mine is still broken. I will give them another 2 weeks and then, if I still can’t use it, as the tracker isn’t working either and my insurance demands it, then it’s time to sell. And maybe get something a little more reliable, maybe a Range Rover.
My car is still not useable after 2 weeks at the dealer waiting for Porsche hq to re-establish connectivity and therefore tracker connection. Insurance requires tracker.
If it’s not fixed in another 2 weeks its being sold.
Brilliant car but too much effort.
Hopefully it might be working now, see other threads.
However, after my connection ‘issues’ over the last week I don’t think I am going to be an early adopter of a mega update.
The Connect support guy told me late Friday pm that they had migrated the data to another server a week previously but had discovered that some cars had failed to go over correctly. He didn’t give me much more info. Maybe they have fixed it. Let’s hope so.
Yes. Vodaphone reported an “Unexpected Error”
Might be worth checking.
It has nothing to do with the car apparently, it’s the backend server, so 12v disconnection won’t work.
