    Buying from a non-Porsche dealer

The advantage of purchasing a CPO car is you can get some comfort that the car has passed a thorough inspection. If your purchasing from a non Porsche dealer you need to make sure the car has not been in a major accident or had issues that prevented it from being a Cpo car.

Just had the brake recall done where they change the brake fluid as part of the recall. The price for the remainder of the 2 year service was quoted at $940 USD.

Windshield glass replacement - third party vs OEM?

Do you have the thermo insulated glass - an option on models below GTS - if so use OEM not third party.

    Taycan 4s rear emblem

Can’t you just buy one from your Porsche dealer?

The results are in, GTS & PAR a clear winner!

Agree love my GTS - unless you need the extended range for a regular route I would not trade a J1 for a J1.2

ACC and LCA worth the price?

I owned a 2020 turbo that was produced in August 2020 and I had no issues with it - so although there were many issues with the 2020 model year the ones produced at the end of the model year have a better rep. The one you’re looking at looks like it was produced 8/2020 given September...

    2023 Taycan GTS, Good purchase?

Great deal. I would never have bought my 2023 GTS sport turismo if I thought I could buy it 18 months later for 50 percent off. These cars have had unreasonably bad depreciation especially given lack of significant change in newer models. Yes I know the 2025 has better range and charges a...

VW Group EVs to Get Tesla Supercharger Access September 9, 2025

Agree New Hampshire is a CCS wasteland. Went up to Mt Sunapee in winter 2023 and nearest CCS Charger was 50 miles away And that was a 50KW single station unit. Hoping things have improved since then but looking for optionality that Tesla supercharger network will provide.

    Would you buy again ?

This is my second Taycan and other than factory recalls i have had no issues. Car is awesome to drive. Financially a mixed bag- my 2020 turbo i sold at a great price (20k depreciation over two years) but my 2023 ST GTS probably has 60k of depreciation over two years. The Porsche ownership...

4yr service inspection & information about PSCB

I have heard that most dealers don’t want to perform warranty service if they can get paid for it by the customer. My understanding is that they get paid at a steep discount for warranty service labor and make minimal profit on the parts from Porsche. If the customer pays they make a huge...

New PCM feature: YouTube integration for J1.2 Taycan ... maybe hope for pre facelift J1 Taycan?

Unlikely, we will get this update. I assume 2025 model has faster processor that enables video. Not sure it would run on earlier models. Loved this feature on my 2022 model x. I would definitely pay for an update should it become available as an option.

I got Arb7 recall yesterday - called dealer and they made an appointment for Dec 12th. I have open recalls for Brake issue and charger replacement .

    Rumor: Taycan to go ICE

The Taycan was engineered solely as an electric car. It would require huge changes to make it an ICE car and given the existing panamera I don’t see it as a big seller. The driving characteristics would fundamentally change with a gas engine etc.. There is a possibility the next Generation...

    Adaptive Cruise Control

Please let us know if you are able to buy the function via a software update or subscription. I have a BMW where the active steering is excellent. I have heard the function on the Porsche (pre 2025) is not as good as BMW’s so for those who do have it how good is it?

    MY25 Neptune Blue - 4 CT - Pics & Journals

As one of the few owners of both the Sedan and currently ST model I can say the functionality of the CT/ST hatchback is really great. Looks are subjective and I like both but I really felt the low trunk height of the sedan and the reduced rear seat headroom were negatives for the sedan...

    Passenger display retrofit install?

I agree . I have it and wouldn’t spec it again at the 1000 cost. I can’t imagine spending much more to retrofit it.

    2022 Taycan turbo value?

Values will creep back up a bit once the glut of trades for My 2025 clears out. 100k would be more than a fair price for a very desirable car. I wouldn’t be surprised if the dealer asks $115 given the desirable configuration and options. I’ve grey with Chalk interior is great.

my MY24 ST GTS vs Turbo S. prospective buyers?

I owned a 2020 turbo and now have a 2023 GTS sport turismo. Both cars drove great and personally I couldn’t really tell the difference from a driving perspective. Sport turismo is a more practical car in my opinion with better rear seat headroom and a much more functional hatchback boot...

Electrify America "Congestion Reduction Pilot" - July 8, 2024

Agree they need to have more chargers that work but I am fully supportive of any plan that keeps every Uber driver from charging to 100 percent. They tie up the network because it takes 30 minutes for some cars to charge that last 15 percent .

    2025 Prices

If committed to a MY 2025 your calculation that buying a may be a better option - leases are expensive now due to high finance rates and low residuals. Porsche has already factored in lower future residual values so if you have the cash buying may be a better deal. But I agree with others...
