    Taycan Emergency Response Guide

Emergency Response Guide A friend who is a fireman in our town’s all-volunteer fire company (founded in 1852!) said they train on electric cars (my Taycan is one of the very few here) and asked where the emergency disconnect is. Not knowing, I downloaded Porsche’s Emergency Response Guide...

Received an Interesting Call from Electrify America

Sorry to hear about the bad experiences. I’ve used EA 350-kW chargers in a couple of out-of-the-way rural locations in Missouri and Illinois, and they worked flawlessly, including the Plug & Charge function on my 2021 4S.

Watch collectors - let's talk watches here!

I didn’t opt for the sport chrono because I have a chronograph on my wrist.

Plug and Charge just worked for me

My first DC charging ever, today: I activated Plug & Charge in my 2021 4S (PCM menu: Charging > touch 3 dots in lower corner > check box for Activate Plug & Charge) and plugged it into a 350-kW Electrify America charger in rural Sullivan MO, and after about a minute of the charger’s communing...

Do you think it’s hard to get in and out of your Taycan?

Enter backward, put left hand (I have left-hand drive, U.S.) on flat spot on B pillar for support (that flat spot handy for helping me lift to get out too). And I console myself by remembering, One must suffer for art!

Whats your favourite dash layout ?

Vim Schrotnock, May I ask how you set the map as you show it here? When I choose Map, all I get is a black-and-white view in which the roads are hairline thin, hard to see, and the area shown is too large so that the details of the immediately surrounding area are too small to be useful. Thank...

The ship delivering my Taycan is aesthetically unappealing and has a sissy-sounding name.

My 2021 4S came over to the East Coast and then Houston on the good ship MediterraneanHighway (yes, that’s the name), which looks a bit like a rust bucket compared to the Viking Queen. It took less than a week from dropping off at Houston to delivery to me in St. Louis on Groundhog Day, and...

Taycan software update - reported problems post update

My model year 2021 Taycan 4S (U.S.A) got its at-dealer software update 10 days ago. At first I thought there were no problems, but a couple of times since, even though I have Comfort Access activated, when I get into the car the steering wheel and driver’s seat do not return to the positions I...

Enough Complaining, Let's talk about what we love about the Taycan and why we bought it.

I have a MY 2021 4S (configured and ordered November 2, 2020, and received 3 months later, February 2, Groundhog Day) and this is my first Porsche. Knock on wood no issues so far. It’s my second electric car; I had a 2014 BMW i3, which I loved, till the Porsche arrived. I was afraid I would miss...

    ICE GREY Taycan Club

Thank you. None at the moment, but no doubt some in the future. It’s a metallic paint (German, Eisgraumetallic) and it looks a bit different in different lights, which I like. I hadn’t realized until recently that it’s a color available only on Taycans.

19” rims on Taycan - reasons to choose them

I just received my 4S and originally configured 19-inch wheels, at which point my U.S. Porsche dealer said, “We only order 20- or 21-inch wheels.” I chose the Aero wheels shown, except they have the single-color crest. I’m pleased with how they look, and how they perform on less than perfect...
