What is really the consensus regarding the placement of the charger? Is it better to have it on the driver or passenger side of the display? Seems like you could easily bump into it with your knee if it's on the driver's side.

What is acceptable amount of road noise is kinda subjective, though. I wouldn't exactly call it S Class quiet, but compared to e.g. a Tesla it should be significantly more quiet.
I think however that it is to be expected to notice slightly more road noise in an EV than a traditional ICE car...
Slightly annoying that my CT is finally going to be delivered in just a few weeks, but for my sanity I'm gonna assume that the delivery time for a Turbo S Sport Turismo is going to be as horrible as it has been for the CT.
I still think it's really weird that you're limited to a set of different colours instead of just giving us a colour wheel or RGB sliders to set whatever colours we want.
I haven't gotten my car yet, but the loaner 4s CT I've been driving has been surprisingly quiet at essentially any speed. I can't say that I've heard any wind noise whatsoever (only slight tyre noise at high speeds).
I wouldn't exactly call it an amazing challenge just to drive a certain distance without any time limits or anything.
Had it been about doing the trip in the shortest amount of time, I would have been more impressed.
That’s what’s listed on the Swedish product page. Mind you, the WLTP rating is listed as ranges of different min and max values for different types of driving. This specific number is the maximum range for mixed city and highway driving, which I believe is the one most commonly quoted.

That sounds more like a safety feature than something one should do routinely. It feels like it’s just a shitty day waiting to happen when you accidentally touch the accelerator and the car pancakes itself into a wall.
Or worse, drive another car that doesn’t do this and gets Yelchined.
They talked about it in the initial press release. Apparently the 2022 models do indeed freewheel the front motor to increase range. I believe that’s why the 4S has 464km of range while the new GTS (with updated WLTP rating) has 504km of range...
So we are currently charging our Teslas with their mobile connector plugged into a standard 3-phase CEE outlet. Naturally, I assumed that it would be possible to just plug the same cable into the Taycan and it should work like with their wall charger since it’s just a standard Type 2 plug...

It’s however worth noting that Tesla is supposed to open up their Supercharger network to all brands soon.
Exactly how this is going to work is not entirely clear yet, though. The good thing is that European Teslas use standard CCS like the Taycan so you won’t need an adapter like in the US.
Can you expand a bit what you mean by this? I‘d assume that any Type 2 charger would just work with any modern BEV. Did you have to do anything different except ignoring the Tesla logo printed on the charger?
