I do the same as for me it makes more sense.

In my experience pre heat the car for an hour which warms up the both inside & more importantly the battery to an optimum level. Was told always to do so by Jaguar engineers at their HQ & have carried on to the Taycan. I tend to do long journeys & have found that it does help. Cold batteries...

I always preheat my car especially for long journeys & does help with the range. Did in my previous car the I Pace & difference is noticeable.

Was told by MB UK on Tuesday that it will probably Q2 next year before we see a car at the showrooms.

Highly recommend to pre condition the car before departure for an hour. If possible with home charger as that will help with extra mileage. Thanks.

In the I Pace you can pre heat the car in whatever time increments which suits you including instantly. I preferred a lot more to the Taycan preheating. Perfect example would have been last night walking to the car after late night game in Birmingham. Previously would preheat I Pace 5 minutes...

I also have multi car insurance with Admiral. They put the price up by about 20% for renewal this month & when I called them, ended up paying less than last year! Funnily enough it was my wife MG ZS EV which went up in price, Taycan down in price. NFU Mutual were very high in their quote.
