I read where a Taycan owner had his tire shop jack both rears or both fronts simultaneously so as to not torque the chassis/battery. Anyone have opinions as to whether that's necessary, good practice, or not needed?
There are three meanings of "precondition" 1) precondition the cabin temperature for the human, 2) warm up the battery on a cold day to provide good power for driving, and 3) warm up the battery a lot to get ready for fast charging. So my question is in regards to the second case. I read here...
The Porsche USA site has a landing video that shows a female driving a Taycan aggressively. At one point she is clearly driving against traffic the wrong way. It seems this might not be the right message to send? Especially with that new AI that detects criminal behavior! See screenshot.
Just curious: at the bottom of the Taycan rear flares there is a paint protector, but it seems much thicker than PPF. Is it clear? Is it replaceable? What is it made out of? Some 911s have a "rear fender stone guard" in this area.
I didn't notice this during the first month, so it seems new. When I accelerate hard from around 50mph (blue 1/2 way or more around the circle) in Normal mode, I get a mild but noticeable rumble vibration in the seat and wheel. This most noticeable on flat or slight uphill on highway surface...
I inquired at Techart if they would supply one of their custom steering wheels for my non-chrono build. I know they supply wheels for the chrono build with the mode switch, heated or non-heated.
I was surprised when they said that the reason was that "my car has assist systems/sensors at the...
I set nav to EA chargers, but there were none available when I got there. The battery was at 101 F. I cancelled the nav and drove home to L2. The battery appeared to keep heating to 106 F. Is that expected? I would have thought no DC chargers on the route would mean the preconditioning would stop.
I purchased one of the very few pre-owned Taycans out there that was not a CPO from a Porsche dealer. Indeed, the 2022 CPOs are great deals and many have warranties effectively longer than a new car. I've had zero problems with the car and it is so much fun to drive. The build quality is...
My Taycan has LTE connectivity. I have all the privacy settings correct, etc. I can connect to the Taycan in my garage from the webpage on my desktop (https://my.porsche.com/) by clicking on the picture of the car. When I do that, I see the green "remote access" setup indicator and I see all...
