Tell them you want a new battery not just a module replacement because it will provably fail again. I thought this is what they are doing now. Maybe I’m confused. I know this is what Tesla and lucid do. They replace BATTERY

I don’t see much downside purchase used for lower mile…. 2020 Turbo’s at 72-75K at current market. You can get extended warranty. They will still be priced in the 50’s most likely 3 years down the line. ?

I’m really considering a 2020 used turbo here local one owner but the entire battery fiasco has me concerned. And basically four years in the battery will no longer be covered and I plan on keeping the car longer than that. Even with aftermarket warranty, it does not cover the battery correct?

So it seems you better hope for a battery failure in the subpar 2020 battery pack before the 8 year timeframe comes around. So you can get the upgraded 2021 pack. From reading threads it’s not a point of if ….. its when the pack will fail in the OG cars

Seems most of the failures from reading various threads is the 2020 model? Doesn’t seem to be very many 2021 cars with the battery issue.

I think 70K off could happen coming in fall/winter Have you done an inventory search yet or looked on multi dealers lots? I believe the new inventory far surpasses the amount of buyers. With the refresh, they’re gonna have to do some pretty creative approaches to get rid of dead inventory.

Elon still “ The boss” News doesn’t move the needle one way or another for Tesla.

I know it’s a bit older but 2020’s are still under warranty and turbos can be had for 70-75K with low miles. Warranty can also be extended through Porsche or fidelity. Seems to be sweet spot with minimal risk.
