    Puncture repair kits

Since being stranded in Dijon for 3 days last year (following a puncture), does anyone carry/use a pucture repair kit/gun for temporary tyre repairs? When I had my puncture last year, the gloop Porsche provide to squirt into the tyre wasn't ideal. I was very lucky to have had the problem...

I had mine replaced last year under warranty. They hadn’t seized, but I asked the OPC to check them after reading reports of seized fans on here.

Taycan “Race” To Tromsø – Winter 2025

Sounds like a great trip - I hope it goes well. Co-incidentally, I’m in Tromsø this week, sadly without my Taycan. It’s a beautiful place but pretty cold. Quite a few of the roads and pavements are sheet ice, so much so, I’ve had to buy slip-on metal studs for my shoes. I’ve noticed that...

    ARB6 and insurance

Couldn’t agree more. The car is unusable on a daily basis with that restriction.

    ARB6 and insurance

For the moment, I’ve only received the WRS0 letter (saying Porsche need to monitor my car’s battery). If this leads to a ARB6 letter (which I think says don’t charge or park in or adjacent to buildings), then do we need to notify our insurers about this letter? If we do, it seems to me that...

    911 Dakar in Namibia

The tyres were Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain. We had one puncture, their first in 6 weeks with 9 cars. Not bad considering the terrain.

    911 Dakar in Namibia

Hi Leawood. The Relais and Chateaux lodge was after the Porsche trip had ended, and was a very nice place to stay. Most driving days were a 9am start and finish by 4pm with an hour or so for lunch. We had one long day on the drive to Etosha and that was a 7.30am start finishing at 4pm.
